I found out that i have been charged 19.95 for a membership in a program, that I knew nothing about. I called to cancel and get a refund. I called to cancel, but was told I would not get a refund of 19.95 because 7 days has passed.
This company is cheating and stealing from customers.

Standard Behavior from Intelius
AUTHOR: Russel - (U.S.A.)

(1) They claim they "found information" about the person you are looking for.
(2) The consumer ignores their "Free 7 day identity protect" offer and pays $1.95 to receive records for the person they are looking for. (which is also another fraudulent service by Intelius)
(3) The intelius "report" they purchase is empty and just has the person's name in it.
(4) Consumer either forgets about the whole incident or asks for their money back.
(5) If the consumer asks for their $1.95 back, the Intelius employee offers a refund and then secretly signs the consumer up for their fraudulent Identity Protect service which is just a scam to steal $20 from your credit card.
(6) Most consumers dont even notice this act of theft, and if they do notice it Intelius says "Oh sorry to see you go" and forgets to mention that you won't get your $20 refunded.
(7) You call back and Intelius says "Sorry it's too late we have your money.. F--- You" end of discussion
What to do next? File your own Ripoff report on Intelius and let everyone know about their scams (there is no law in America to protect people so you basically have to tell people about ripoffs through the Internet in order to stop this)
Also File a report with your Credit Card company about the FRAUDULENT TRANSACTION immediately and tell them you never asked for this and you never received any services from them.
WARNING: Do not use the Intelius toll free number! They see your unlisted number and steal your unlisted number and sell it to anyone that asks for it - If you need to contact them (and there really is no point to contact intelius) you can call them with *67 at 425-974-6100. Intelius also asks consumers for a fax of their DRIVER'S LICENSE to "remove" their private information.
Beware that this is a scam to steal your picture, driver's license number, address etc and SELL IT to anyone that pays for it. The website www.phonesbook.com is operated by Intelius and it consists of stolen data.
