I went to a web site for internet movie rentals called Intelliflix.

They advertised a Superpass membership only available through today. (which was August 22, 2005)

However, you have to sign up for one entire year of service at a time. This special Superpass membership is now extended everyday, to hook even more unsuspecting consumers into thinking they must act immediately or lose this special rate.

The promotional rate was listed at 177.00 a year to see unlimited movies, 3 at a time, at which time you return those and new movies will be shipped to you within 1 to 2 business days.

My credit card was charged in the amount of 186.62. I initiated a service ticket and asked why I was charged the extra 110.62. The response was it is a processing fee.

At the current rate movies are logged in and shipped out I will be lucky to see 3 movies a month. Not what was advertised about a 1 or 2 day shipping time and certainly not unlimited in my book.

I have been with Intelliflix for 2 weeks and have asked to cancell my membership and get a credit for the 11 months that I won't be using their service.

I was told to read the terms and conditions. Sure you can cancel your membership anytime. BUT you forfeit all of your membership fees. There is NO REFUNDS for unused portions of your membership

In the Billing Section of the Terms and Conditions which is about three-quarters down the page you can read the following paragraph about receiving a refund of your money paid for the yearly membership, "Refunds of a SuperPass membership are granted and are calculated as follows: you will be charged for the months you've used our service using the current monthly pricing, not the SuperPass amount divided by twelve, as the SuperPass pricing is for those people who remain with us for an entire year. We do not give credit for partial months. In addition, there is a $10 early termination fee to cover our processing charges to cancel the account."
