I started a rental agreement with Intelliflix after I had a throttling fiasco with Netflix. Renting movies is my alternative to cable and dish which doesn't have enough to interest me.
I chose intelleflix because of a consumer reports rating. After a year of fairly decent service, everything changed. I rarely receive a movie from their distribution sources in my home state of California. RARELY. Never in the past year to be honest. (This is an important part of the throttle equation, the further away a distribution center, the longer it takes to receive a disk.)
Intelliflix promised, ADVERTISED fast turnaround times. They lied. As reported several times in my ticket history on their site, the turn around times went from 4 days to well over 10 days.
They frequently ship the same disk two or three times. They do not honor their queue at all. I have movies in queue from when I started my account well over a year ago. Go figure.
I have also too frequently received disks that were broken in half, damaged beyond repair, or simply unplayable.
Getting through to them is an impossible task since they ONLY take email help requests.
The basic solution for poor product, inconsistent treatment is to increase one's account for two weeks. As if increasing the duration of a lousy system, lousy treatment, and bad disks is going to make up for this.
Not only that, the help desk is unable to spell or use grammar correctly. From the names used lately as help representatives, one can suspect that they have outsourced this part of their operation to India or some other place. Which sadly, further increases the service and communication problems.
I cancelled my account with them today. I will NEVER recommend them, or Netflix or Blockbuster.
Do NOT use these services. Spare yourself the frustration.
