International Award Payment Center of Kansas City, Missouri Received documents via mail containing a picture of a check with my name for the amount of $15,000 and request to send $9.00 in cash, check or money order to participate in their awards program North Kansas City Missouri
Today I received in the mail a letter from International Awards Payment Center. To start off, i've never heard of this busniess and do not recall ever signing up for, or entering this award program. In the letter I received was what appeared to be a check in the amount of $15,000 with my name and address on it as a CONFIIRMED CANDIDATE.
In the letter it request that you respond immediantly by tearing off the bottom part of the page, which is what they address as FORM 1080. In this form it has three (3) fields.
First (1st) being a checkmark box stating: I have enclosed A fee of $12 (with the $12 crossed off, it then proceeds to say: Enclose only $9 fee and save $3!) in: Cash, Check (payable to IAPC) or Money Order (payable to IAPC).
Second (2nd): I have read and understand the enclosed official rules. A correct answer to the qaulifying qeustion will advance me to the next round!
Third (3rd): Qualifying Question (answer required) One bundle contains 300 $10 bills. [continued below]....
In the second (2nd) page of the letter, in the third (3rd) paragraph down is a red flag! It States: This award ($15,000.00) comprises a cash sum budgeted and allocated to a skill competition program but as yet undistributed. Out office has been charged with liquidating this $15,000.00 and assuring its disbursment to final certified winners.
