For years I finally beleived in a so called honest, poetry company that offered big things, by preying on many innocent victoms (such as myself)who gave their heartfelt poetry words to "Poetry.com" then stepping up to "International Society of Poets"as they would have you believe.

They danced & preyed on me finally putting my life on paper in words, for the joy of others whilst copy written as they stated. Not only do they take your vulnerable hearfelt words, but destroy your ego & your soul at the same time promising awards & asking for you to come to a symposium or they can send the trophies at a fee usually in the hundreds. They also ask a fee to be in the members of this so called elite club, when in fact you are just joining other poor victims of their fraudulent offerings.

Many times I paid forbooks for my family & also cd's which were firstly not delivered, then when complaining they sent some poor excuse for a poetry reader on cd that trashed my work anyway. They also sent awards that cost me near $200 for shipping. I am devastated because the 1 thing I had in my life as I am struck with multiple schlrosis,diabetes & sleep-apnia was my poetry to get frustrations & elations out & at the same time make my family proud of me, by leaving this small part of me in writing. It is a tremendous pain in fact to think I opened my heart to give joy, only to today find scammers preyed on me & many others with idol promises & insensitive thieving of innocense for their financial gain.

I will still write but just for family & friends, but my heart will never be as open or trusting again. I do encourage others to do the same as poetry is precious if you have that gift, try not to be bitter but use as a stepping stone for real poetry for people, not just a net scammer! Believe in your gr8 gift.
