Invent Tech Charged me appx. $8000.00 for almost nothing in promoting my invention Coral Gables Florida

I was told when signing up w/ this company in 2005 that I would go to their office in Florida and do a press conference to promote my idea. After they received about $8000.00 from me, all I got was a handbook and some periodic mailings to companies (which I had to pay postage) who might be interested in my invention.and I didn't have to make the trip down there; it would now be turned over to another department which would monitor the communications, response,etc.

I asked several different staff members why I couldn't obtain a patent on the idea since it was very self-explanatory in the letter that was sent out and I feared a company could develop the product on their own. I was repeatedly told it was a "theory" and if a company did take it on and changed one detail of it, it would then require another patent. My argument was they were supposed to be representing this same "theory" at their trade shows but did not have a finished product to display, therefore they were still representing a theory, not a finished product. I still never obtained a patent.

I was contacted by a local newspaper to do a human interest story on inventors in our area but was prohibited by Invent-Tech to discuss any details of it. Therefore I declined the interview since again I had no patent protection.

I am a widow and this was a financial hardship on me, but the smooth-talking Ray Alanzo convinced me this was a marketable product all over the world, as well it could have been if they had done their job in promoting it. I still believe in this product but have no more money to invest or to pay an attorney to even try to recover a part of the investment that I've made.

Hopefully this will prevent another innocent victim from falling prey to this company.
