JEFF DAVIS, owner of JAM ENTERPRISES lived in Yuma, AZ and sold cable boxes that did not work using the names: INPHOME, INFO CABLE and DIGITAL CABLE TODAY. There are 132 posted complaints. Staying one step ahead of the shotgun  he moved to Colorado. He now sells cable boxes that do not work using the names of digital tv express, free to air, finally free tv and just about saving money. These companies have posted complaints on the BBB in Denver, scam sites, complaint sites and ripoff sites(like this one) that ad an additional 241 posted complaints for a total of over 370 posted complaints. The most recent on the BBB was last week 8/5.

All the complaints indicated NON WORKING BOX, NO answers to email or phone calls, when the box is returned NO REFUNDS.

JEFF DAVIS uses a business address that is a garage behind 3152 S lincoln St, Englewood, CO 80113.

His home office is 1970 LA Bellezza GRV,Colorado Springs, CO 80919.

I purchased a box in May 2012 that did not work. It was returned. After 3 weeks and no return emails(6) or phone calls(4) I smelled a RAT. When to our bank, proved FRAUD and the transaction was reversed. All monies returned including shipping and handling. Money was taken from JAM aka Jeff Davis' account without written authorization. His bank agreed it was FRAUD. He has made four(4) attempts in past 13 months to get money back. With the last attempt two(2) weeks ago on July 26 2013. If you wish to see a copy of his email to Huntington Bank, crying and begging for his money just ask me robtweissblatt@hotmail.com. By the way they told him to pound salt!

On JAM websites phases used: FCC and cable company approved, cable ready, plug and play. Nothing can be further from the truth. The boxes are "JUNK" sold by the cable companies that are totally disabled and still have the FCC lables on the bottom.

When your name, Jeff Davis owner of Jam Enterprises is posed on over 20 scam site as well as the BBB in Denver has that increased business. If it has you must be doing something like LYING.

Jeff lives in a house that is $200,000 under warter, The house was purchased for $200,000 more than todays market. he needs to cheat people to stop a forclosure.

Go to BBB in Denver and read the history of Jeff Davis and Jam Enterprises and how they have been cheating people for nine years by selling cable boxes that do not work. Emails, phone calls are not returned and when the non woeking box is returned NO REFUNDS.

where does jeff davis get his cable box

there are three possible places jeff davis gets his cable box

1- a rental box is not returned and it is deemed stolen

2- from canada where buying a box is leagle. these boxes will not be activated in the US

3- from the cable company, after they are disabled. they are sold as a "junk" box for $2-$5  each (price is depending on the quanity) these box  are mostly in the 15 year old range.

The black box is a Samsung GXSM 530 CF

Jam is selling same at $195 plus $35 shipping and handling. Amazon E Bay etc is selling same for $79 to $112

Jam 's unit is a used box that had been returned. Amazon e Bay etc is selling a NEW box.

Jam does NOT have a warrenty. Amazon E Bay etc has an one year warrenty on parts and labor. NO WARRENTY - Jam does not have an agreement with Samsung to resell their product. Call Samsung marketing. Right now they are in the process in pulling this product.

Return policy. Amazon E Bay etc 60 day, no questions asked. Jam gives $0. NO REFUND. Go to the BBB in Denver or any ripoff or scam site and read that the count is way over 400 complaints mainly NO REFUNDS.

On May 23 2014, two (2) postings from the top you indicated that MR Davis died after a two year battle with cancer. OUTRIGHT LYE.

Dr Melvin Davis, MD was born in Samaria, Idaho, grew up in Samaria, Idaho, owned a farm in Samaria, Idaho, died in a farming accident two (2) years ago on his farm in Samaria, Idaho and after the funeral was buried on his farm in Samaria, Idaho. This was done to have his family close.

He is servived by his mother, wife Lisa and four children, and his brother Dr Ben Davis,MD. All living in Samaria, Idaho.

Jeff Davis, owner of JAM ENTERPRISES ( JAM stands for JEFF and MARYJO, his wife). This slime ball crook is selling non working cable boxes. If you go to the BBB in Denver, scam, ripoff complaint sites  (last count there  are 20). ALL stating NO REFUNDS

Jeff has a wife MaryJo and 1 child living at 1970 La Bellezza Grv,Colorado Springs, CO 80919. Phone #719 593 1240.

Jeff Davis is going through this much trouble trying to say he is dead so he can stay ahead of all the people he has cheated.

Below is his obituary from the Gazette newspaper confirming his & family Colorado Springs address. 1970 La Bellezza Grv, Colorado Springs, CO 80919.

 

Melvin Jeffrey Davis, 52, died in a farming accident at his Samaria, Idaho, ranch on August 31, 2012. He was born to Emma Louise and Melvin Joseph Davis on October 14, 1959, in Ogden, Utah. He grew up in Samaria, Idaho, and graduated from Malad High School. He attended Utah State University for one year before serving a two-year mission in Copenhagen, Denmark, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He finished his undergraduate studies at Utah State University and attended medical school at the University of Washington. He joined and proudly served in the United States Army for 11 years. He completed his anesthesiology residency at Letterman Medical Center in San Francisco, California. While in medical school, he married his eternal companion, Lisa Cluff in the Logan, Utah, Temple on December 27, 1985. He and his family were stationed in Germany for four years before settling in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He often traveled to the family homestead in Samaria, and farming was his passion. He loved working on the ranch, and it was there that he died. Like his late father, Jeff was a gifted teacher. He lived and taught by example. He was especially fond of teaching visitors about his tree and water projects on the ranch. Jeff was fiercely patriotic, and an avid reader of history. He loved hard work in the outdoors. He was very active in the Church, and was serving as Bishop of the Academy Ward of the Colorado Springs Stake when he died. He was a devoted husband and father, and was known for his gentle love and concern for all the people in his life. Jeff was pre-ceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife Lisa; his four children, Emily Beth, Matthew Jeffrey, Erin Elizabeth, and M. Joseph; his mother, Emma Louise Chambers of Samaria, Idaho; and his sister, Jacqueline Bowles of Ogden, Utah. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2012, in the LDS Chapel at 5375 Centennial Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado. The viewing will be at 4p.m., followed by the funeral at 6p.m. Another viewing and military tribute will be held at the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 West 300 North, Malad City, Idaho, on Friday, September 7, 2012, from 10:30a.m. to noon, with the burial following. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Davis Children Trust Fund, 1970 LaBelleza Grove, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80919. He indicated that Jeff Davis died two (2) years ago due to cancer. Jeff was a brave firefighter that died when called to duty. HE did not live in Colorado Springs. He lived in Lakewood. He worked as a firefighter for 30 years and had nothing to do with selling non working cable boxes.

Not one of these digital converters worked until legaly activated by their service providers which is required by law.

I'm sending this e-mail since there is no place on your website to make a positive comment about a company…only a complaint.  I did business with the subject company under their name of justaboutsavingmoney.com, aka JAM Enterprises.  They are physically located in Englewood, CO.  I ordered two DVR's from them a few months apart.  Both of them arrived and worked exactly as they promised.  The PROBLEM was working with COMCAST!!  Jay Dee with justaboutsavingmoney worked with me to get everything set up, which was not an easy task, and not for the fainthearted.  I spent about eight hours on the phone and going to Comcast's offices.  Many of their employees said the DVRs wouldn’t work, but they actually DO WORK as required by the FCC.  When I set up my second DVR the process was easier, and more Comcast employees seemed to have been better trained.
 
I will admit that I was frustrated at times with my second DVR in that I didn't get phone calls returned as I would have liked.  However, I think they might be swamped with work.  I think they are being stonewalled to some degree by the cable service providers.
 
The bottom line is that my experience has been that their products work as advertised.  It just takes perseverance to get them set up.

Hi Jay, Just wanted to let you know all's well with my boxes. Very happy with them, even, was able to get Comcast in manila to activate the on demand feature for both of them, even use the M card that came with the last one. Just wanted to ask if you have any specials coming up in the future to please let me know, they don't have to a DVR since they would be just for the guest rooms. Just looking for a good price. I received very good customer service with my cable box installation.  Jay was right there with me making multiple telephone calls and even staying on the line with Suddenlink and their friendly technician (Peggy).  After my picture was up and running Jay called me again to review all the features on the remote.  For my installation, a card was rented from Suddenlink at a cost of $2.89 per month.  Jay has agreed to reimburse me for the cost of this rental for one year.  I look forward to the telephone call from Jay when he can tell me that I will be able to use my own card, removing me from the rental obligation to the cable company.   For my purchase $175.00 including shipping, I now have all the features that a dvr has to offer and the convenience of Suddenlink's channel menu.  My cable bill is now @ $25.00 less per month so I will recoup my investment after about seven months with JAM's reimbursement check.  I want to thank JAM and everyone there for showing me how to save some money on my cable bill.     Dan

Just wanted to thank Jay for all his help getting my Scientific Atlanta box going. It took some time and effort, but, it was worth it. I'll have to wait a little longer for it to pay for itself. I can live with that. The Cable company wasn't helpful in getting it to work and gave me a lot of lame explanations about how they couldn't activate the box and it had to be returned to the Mfg. for repair and "pairing up". Eventually Jay helped me. I got a cablecard from the provider installed it and called them to activate it. (After several calls to different "technical servers".) we finally got the card paired to the box and activated the box. Works great. A few days later my wife turned on our other box (rented from the cable provider and working fine for 5 years) and it displayed "this box is not authorized". Called their tech services, No help the first time, had to try a second time before I got a tech. that knew what she was doing. Had to re-authorize it. Everything is fine now. Looking forward to do more in the future with you guys. Thanks again. This is FYI no need to reply.

comments = Jay - I just wanted to let you know that I am up and running.  Thank you for all of your help.  Here is what happened.  After the box cycled through the activation, I still didn't have a picture.  So, I called back and they told me that the HD service needed to be set up on my specific "outlet" on my account.  Activation sent a signal to confirm that was my issue, (at that point, I got the video feed instantaneoulsy) but then I had to speak to someone in technical support who removed my old box and replaced it with the new card in the billing system and said that I was all set.  Thanks again, Sharon

I just wanted to tell you how satisfied I am with your efforts.  I initially ordered a plain old converter box from you.  I went to my local TimeWarner store and picked up a Cablecard and then you walked me through installation and even helped me with a conference call to get the thing set up with TimeWarner.  After I found that TimeWarner would cooperate, I made the plunge and ordered a dvr from you.  Once again you were really helpful getting me up and running.  Initially I called the cablecard setup phone number for TimeWarner but was given misinformation by them saying they couldn't help me because I have an unsupported box.  I knew something was wrong with this response since my box was a DCX3400, the very same one they are renting to me!  In anycase, I decided to call the regular customer service number and they were super cooperative and went ahead and authorized my new box after I gave them a couple of numbers from the unit.  If anyone else wants to buy from you that is in TimeWarner's Southern California area, I will be happy to vouch for you.

He promised that the box will work with Comcast and he has hundreds of Comcast customers that purchased his cable box. He lied. Comcast told me that no cable company will sell a box and the only way JAM could get one is from Canada or it is stolen. To sue me it must be done in Michigan. You must get an attorney that has the power to work here. You can do this by having your attorney find someone or you can do it yourself.

They will want an upfront payment to file the paperwork, take depositions and defend a countersuit as well as action from the DA working with our banks legal. In addition there is transportation, hotel, food and car rental. Win or loose it will cost you a ton of money. There is a high probility that the attorney will require more money as the process moves forward. In addition people that returned a non working box and did not receive a refund and to make it more interesting those who paid money and did not receive product will be present. I will pay the airfare, hotel etc for these people. I am sure I will find 10 from the hundreds of posted complaints.

I also purchased a TV off Craigs List that i also got the "M" card paired & activated. Should the cable company considered this equipment "stolen" Until they do i am satisfied. each of these companies has there own set of posted complaints. for digital tv express, finally free tv and just about saving each have over 100 posted complaints at the BBB in Denver. that is 300. if you type the name of any company there are about 200 posted complaints. there are 8 company names. total is 1200-1600 hundred complaints.

Jeff did you go to comcast consumer owned equipment policy where the unit you are selling has to be tested and approved and you have to produce proof of legal ownership.

would you trust JAM owned by JEFF DAVIS after you read the 99 posted complaints on the BBB site in Denver. with the addition of all the complaints posted on ripoff(like this site), scam, complaint and review sites there is 179 for a total at of today 10/15 of 278.  

Are you saying there was an additional 122 more complaints in only 5 days?.

Where are you getting your stats or are you just making up complaint #'s.

I spent over an hour researching on line complaints and only found 19 complaints of which 14

were yours or from Empire MI. Most are yours because you post your e mail address in the complaint.

I may be wrong, excluding the BBB complaints please post the on-line complaint sites showing the other 300

complaints.

Jam Enterprises also chalenged you to produce the names of Comcast "legal" you talked with saying or telling you

could only use their digital converters or any unit purchased retail would be considered stolen.

Why don't you just provide the names or are you full of "CRAP" like JD says.

You file complaints with no proof so far.

If you say there are 300 plus complaints you must have the links to prove this.

If you go to EQUIPMENT COMCAST CABLE TV FAQ it states the only third party boxes that will be reconized  is TIVO or TIVO PREMIER or BOXEE.

If you are on this site and have been scamed here is how to get help. 

Call the Englewood Police at 303 761 7410. File a complaint and you will be given a file number. Request  this file sent to the DA in turn it will be forwared to the Attorney General. Each department needs an audit trail.

The Governor's office suggested this one. File a complaint with Internet Crime Complaint Center at www.ic3.gov/defaultaspx

File a complaint with the BBB in Denver. The AG is working hand and gove with them

If you have proof of return and no refuned or proof of payment and no product go to your bank and ask that the transaction be reversed. That is how I got my money back.

3. Lying by omission- if an office chooses to rent the cards and software it is $8-$12/month. Lets take $10/month. for 36 months that is $360.00 in addition they will charge an outlet fee $10-$15/month using $13 for 36 months is $468.00 plus $ 250 for the cost of a box from JAM. TOTAL is $1078.

Rent a cable box that works and using $13/month for a grand total of $468. DON't take anyones posted word and call comcast for the ONLY truth.

This article details frequently asked questions regarding the encryption of our basic services and customer eligibility for new equipment.    

    About Encryption of Basic Services

Why do I need a device now when I haven’t needed one in the past? We are encrypting our Limited Basic channels, which will result in the scrambling of those signals. As a result, a digital device is required on every TV in order to unscramble the signals and permit you to view your services.
What does it mean when you say you are encrypting Limited Basic channels? Encryption encodes programming so that individuals cannot view it without authorization and payment. In addition, encryption allows us to automate certain system functions and will reduce the need for scheduled in-home appointments, providing greater convenience for our customers.
What equipment do I need to ensure that I will continue to see Limited Basic service once encryption is complete? You will need a set-top box, digital adapter or a CableCARD enabled device on each TV in your home to ensure you will see Limited Basic service once encryption is complete.
What will the digital adapters cost? Limited Basic customers who currently do not have equipment on their account are eligible for up to two (2) DTAs, at no charge for two (2) years (five years if you also receive Medicaid) if they request DTAs during the equipment offer period at or around the time of encryption.
Customers who subscribe to a higher level of service and receive Limited Basic service on a secondary TV without Comcast supplied equipment are eligible for one device at no charge for one year.
DTAs available under this offer must be ordered during the equipment offer period; beginning 30 days before the date of encryption and for 120 days after encryption. A notice will be sent to all customers informing them of their eligibility and the start of the offer period for their system.
Otherwise, currently up to three (3) DTAs are available to Limited Basic customers at no charge (fewer if there is other digital equipment on the account). Afterwards the current price for DTAs for Limited Basic customers is $.50 per device per month. All other customers currently pay a $1.99 per month additional outlet service charge for each outlet registered to a DTA.
What happens after two years of receiving my DTA at no cost? Local market pricing will apply after the two year period. You will receive a notification 30 days prior to these charges being applied to your account.
What are the differences between a set-top box and a digital adapter? A set-top box processes digital-quality signals. With this box, you can view the XFINITY on-screen channel guide, XFINITY On Demand programming, Pay-Per-View (PPV) content, all available channels you subscribe to regardless of your service package and approximately forty commercial-free music channels.
A digital adapter also provides digital-quality signals. However, when using a digital adapter, you won’t have access to an on-screen channel guide, PPV content, premium channels or XFINITY On Demand programming and viewable channels vary based on the customers level of service.

Let me tell you. It's about the size of a cigar box the breaks down the encrypted digital

channels from channel 2 through 99 into analog for the older analog TV's.

A digital television adapter (DTA), or digital-to-analog converter [set-top box], or commonly known as a converter box, it is a television tuner that receives a digital television (DTV) transmission, and converts the digital signal into an analog signal that can be received and displayed on an analog television set. It may refer to over-the-air broadcast television signals received by an television antenna, or to cable TV systems which switched to digital cable. It normally does not refer to satellite TV, which has always required a set-top box either to operate the big satellite dish, or to be the integrated receiver/decoder (IRD) in the case of direct-broadcast satellites (DBS).

If you only subscribe to the lowest basic programming you will eventually need the DTA for each TV around $2 to $6 each in monthly rental fees or a full HD or HD/DVR digital converter priced $9 to $24 each per month in rental fees.

If you don't believe me check your cable bill.

The FCC now mandates all rental equipment be itemized on your bill.

If you subscribe to extended programming & services like HD and/or DVR subscribed services including interactive programming guide, premiums and full access to PPV the DTA will not work as it's only a basic digital to analog converter to be able to view programming below channel 99 on your older analog TV's.

You will need a full digital set top converter provided by your service provider at an outrageous monthly rental fee or you can purchase the same full HD/DVR set tops from us including pre installed cable card that are supported by every cable company and strictly enforced by the FCC.

If any cable company will not support our "M" Multistream cable card in any of our Motorola, Pace, Cisco or Scientific Atlanta full HD & HD/DVR set tops we will reimburse the customer the rental fee charged by the cable company for up to a full year.

In January 2013 the FCC ruled that cable companies can encrypt a cable signal. Pryer to this ruling a signal was only scrambled. Yesterday I visited Comcast(Xfinity), Time Warner and digital trends. All stated that if you have a box supplied by the cable company they will supply a DTA for no charge or a new box will have the ability to decyrpt the signal. If you have a box supplied by Ebay or a third party like JAM within the next few months you will have a doorstop.

Our bank and your bank did prove fraud against you bob.

Your wife told her bank you (bob)were not authorized to use her checking information and should have never provided her private information to a third party.
Your wifes bank then contacted us and we provided phone records, invoice & your receipt of the digital converter delivered by Fed Ex.
 
We also provided the tech support e mails you sent and our responses. Your wife made you return the digital converter so we could refund her account. The only fraud committed was you bob using your wifes bank account without her permission.
 
We agreed, returned the digital converter and refunded your wifes account minus the 20% restocking fee plus shipping cost.

when we met with a lawyer from the bank we submitted proof that JEFF DAVIS committed FRAUD. the bank reversed the transaction and used the word "Unauthorized". 

JEFF DAVIS made 4 tries to get the money returned to his account with the lastest interaction at the end of July. He called and emailed. our bank in turn sent him notice not to contact them again.

JEFF has a history with the BBB in Denver, scam, ripoff, complaint and review sites with 279 posted complaints. NON working box, NO return phone calls, NO return emails, NO REFUNDS when the non working box is returned and NON DELIVERY after monies have been paid.

why would a happy customer interact with me. why did the letter writter not give their name? why did this letter writter take time out to write a long email and send it at 12:30 in the morning to a scam/ripoff site.

the DA's in both EL PASO and ARAPAHO(sp) know that JEFF DAVIS owns JAM.

when my transaction was reversed by my bank and all my money was returned including shipping and handling my bank indicated that JEFF DAVIS owns JAM.

I've purchased 3 cable boxes from JD at Jam Enterprises.

When I hooked the first box up, called the Comcast activation# 877-404-2298 and gave them the Host & Data numbers. Comcast activation dept pared the box & sent an activation signal, the box shut off for a minute, then turned back on it did not work, I only got audio, no video
I called JD for tech support. It did take a full day before he got back to me which
really concerned me after reading some complaints that Jam Enterprises has never sold a working digital cable converter or gets back to their customers.
When Jay called me back he had me check the Host & Data ID #'s and we called Comcast back.
I don't know if it was me or Comcast but one number was inverted on the Data ID#.
We got it corrected and Comcast sent a new activation hit and the box immediately shut off, then turned back on with both audio & video
I have been keeping up with this complaint saga between the Weissblatts &
Jay at Jam Enterprises.
The Weissblatts  posted their e mail address on this complaint site so I sent them an e mail requesting more info with their experience.
I did not tell them I had already purchased 3 boxes and all were working.
Bob Weissblatt told me not to purchase from Jam Enterprises as they had never sold a working
cable converter and they are the biggest scammers on the net.
Bob told me Jam Enterprises has a handful of inventory they sell and because they don't work they are returned for refund but are actually then resold to the next sucker.
He gave me several complaint websites to file complaints against Jam Enterprises to let other customers know not to purchase. My 3 boxes work exactly as Jam Enterprises advertises them.
Just out of curiosity I checked with the Colorado BBB and FYI Weissblatts there is no Jeff Davis of Colorado Springs, only 
Jeff David/Manager of Englewood.
 
JD told me most of their digital converter when pared properly are up and running in less than 10 minutes.
Most cable companies have fully automated activation #'s.
 
He sent me this list of testimonials of customers who had similar problems like I had.
Here they are and they are also posted in this complaint.
Weissblatts, you should have asked JD for tech help and you would have your cable box working.

I'm sending this e-mail since there is no place on your website to make a positive comment about a company…only a complaint.  I did business with the subject company under their name of justaboutsavingmoney.com, aka JAM Enterprises.  They are physically located in Englewood, CO.  I ordered two DVR's from them a few months apart.  Both of them arrived and worked exactly as they promised.  The PROBLEM was working with COMCAST!!  Jay Dee with justaboutsavingmoney worked with me to get everything set up, which was not an easy task, and not for the fainthearted.  I spent about eight hours on the phone and going to Comcast's offices.  Many of their employees said the DVRs wouldn’t work, but they actually DO WORK as required by the FCC.  When I set up my second DVR the process was easier, and more Comcast employees seemed to have been better trained.
 
I will admit that I was frustrated at times with my second DVR in that I didn't get phone calls returned as I would have liked.  However, I think they might be swamped with work.  I think they are being stonewalled to some degree by the cable service providers.
 
The bottom line is that my experience has been that their products work as advertised.  It just takes perseverance to get them set up.

Hi Jay, Just wanted to let you know all's well with my boxes. Very happy with them, even, was able to get Comcast in manila to activate the on demand feature for both of them, even use the M card that came with the last one. Just wanted to ask if you have any specials coming up in the future to please let me know, they don't have to a DVR since they would be just for the guest rooms. Just looking for a good price. I received very good customer service with my cable box installation.  Jay was right there with me making multiple telephone calls and even staying on the line with Suddenlink and their friendly technician (Peggy).  After my picture was up and running Jay called me again to review all the features on the remote.  For my installation, a card was rented from Suddenlink at a cost of $2.89 per month.  Jay has agreed to reimburse me for the cost of this rental for one year.  I look forward to the telephone call from Jay when he can tell me that I will be able to use my own card, removing me from the rental obligation to the cable company.   For my purchase $175.00 including shipping, I now have all the features that a dvr has to offer and the convenience of Suddenlink's channel menu.  My cable bill is now @ $25.00 less per month so I will recoup my investment after about seven months with JAM's reimbursement check.  I want to thank JAM and everyone there for showing me how to save some money on my cable bill.     Dan (918) 577

Just wanted to thank Jay for all his help getting my Scientific Atlanta box going. It took some time and effort, but, it was worth it. I'll have to wait a little longer for it to pay for itself. I can live with that. The Cable company wasn't helpful in getting it to work and gave me a lot of lame explanations about how they couldn't activate the box and it had to be returned to the Mfg. for repair and "pairing up". Eventually Jay helped me. I got a cablecard from the provider installed it and called them to activate it. (After several calls to different "technical servers".) we finally got the card paired to the box and activated the box. Works great. A few days later my wife turned on our other box (rented from the cable provider and working fine for 5 years) and it displayed "this box is not authorized". Called their tech services, No help the first time, had to try a second time before I got a tech. that knew what she was doing. Had to re-authorize it. Everything is fine now. Looking forward to do more in the future with you guys. Thanks again. This is FYI no need to reply.

As discussed, this is to confirm that the DCX 3400 is up and running.  Also, to reiterate, Time Warner Cable is charging $3.00 for an M card in a "non primary unit".  Further, they gave me an MTR700 tuner unit that is supposed to allow access to VOD material.  Lastly, please take a moment to confirm the Motorola SD 70-200 unit is on its way. comments = Jay - I just wanted to let you know that I am up and running.  Thank you for all of your help.  Here is what happened.  After the box cycled through the activation, I still didn't have a picture.  So, I called back and they told me that the HD service needed to be set up on my specific "outlet" on my account.  Activation sent a signal to confirm that was my issue, (at that point, I got the video feed instantaneoulsy) but then I had to speak to someone in technical support who removed my old box and replaced it with the new card in the billing system and said that I was all set.  Thanks again, Sharon

I just wanted to tell you how satisfied I am with your efforts.  I initially ordered a plain old converter box from you.  I went to my local TimeWarner store and picked up a Cablecard and then you walked me through installation and even helped me with a conference call to get the thing set up with TimeWarner.  After I found that TimeWarner would cooperate, I made the plunge and ordered a dvr from you.  Once again you were really helpful getting me up and running.  Initially I called the cablecard setup phone number for TimeWarner but was given misinformation by them saying they couldn't help me because I have an unsupported box.  I knew something was wrong with this response since my box was a DCX3400, the very same one they are renting to me!  In anycase, I decided to call the regular customer service number and they were super cooperative and went ahead and authorized my new box after I gave them a couple of numbers from the unit.  If anyone else wants to buy from you that is in TimeWarner's Southern California area, I will be happy to vouch for you.

We have e mailed you in the past "NOT" to use the name Jeff Davis, and his Colorado Springs & personal phone# stating he is the owner & operator of our company.
 
You only reply you've made him (Jeff Davis) "famous" with your complaints and your "job' was done.
 
This poor guy has as much to do with Jam Enterprises as your son paul and is now under investigation due to your slanderous written complaints.
 
Also in your posted complaint below your telling whoever to contact the FBI, Police, AG etc with Jeff Davis and his personal address that you posted everywhere including the BBB.
 
Over the last year you have sent us dozens of e mails saying you've been working with the authorities. They all have our names, addresses etc, "NO JEFF DAVIS IN COLORADO SPRINGS"
Where are you getting your info, names addresses etc?
 
We ask, even beg that you remove these inaccurate complaints immediately.

We called several out of state cities phone information and there are hundreds of "Jeff Davis" listings.

in 2 of your emails it was indicated that paul will be a subject. as his lawyer if anything shows on the internet he will sue for slander. i never said anything about mj or your son for that reason. i can stretch out a minimum of 80 hours for the suit and at a low end of $400/hour for your lawyer plus he will advise you to settle. if you settle or lose you will have a judgement on your credit history. you will have 3 days to make payment. if not a lien will be placed against all real property. i will try to have your house sold to pay the debt and again you will have to pay for a lawyer to stop the action.
 
You need to remove this false and slanderous complaint below and all others immediately.

WHY???? because he never returns emails, phone calls (after he gets your money) and NEVER GIVES A REFUND for a non working box and he does not want anyone to know who he really is. The BBB in Denver has over 100 posted complaints.Scam, Complaint Sites and Ripoff sites like this one has an additional 193 posted complaints against all his company's names. digital cable today, digital tv express INP Home, free to air, finally free tv and just about saving money. By the way the BBB rates companies from A+ to F. just about saving money is F and at the bottom of the face page it lists JEFF DAVIS as owner.

He indicates you can own your own equipment. that is true. there is NO LAW making a cable company supply the cards to make his junk boxes work. if they choose to do so there is an outlet fee to use their system equal to the rental price of a cable box supplied by the cable company. Don't take my word call your cable company and ask. The only truth is what you hear from your cable company. 

cost of a box from a Jeff Davis company $250.00. cost for the cards to make box work $8/month or $288.00 for 36 months. cost for the cable company outlet fee $10.00/month or $ 360.00 for 36 months for a TOTAL of $898.00.

Each and every unit was tested (working) & approved to ship.

I'm sending this e-mail since there is no place on your website to make a positive comment about a company…only a complaint.  I did business with the subject company under their name of justaboutsavingmoney.com, aka JAM Enterprises.  They are physically located in Englewood, CO.  I ordered two DVR's from them a few months apart.  Both of them arrived and worked exactly as they promised.  The PROBLEM was working with COMCAST!!  Jay Dee with justaboutsavingmoney worked with me to get everything set up, which was not an easy task, and not for the fainthearted.  I spent about eight hours on the phone and going to Comcast's offices.  Many of their employees said the DVRs wouldn’t work, but they actually DO WORK as required by the FCC.  When I set up my second DVR the process was easier, and more Comcast employees seemed to have been better trained.
 
I will admit that I was frustrated at times with my second DVR in that I didn't get phone calls returned as I would have liked.  However, I think they might be swamped with work.  I think they are being stonewalled to some degree by the cable service providers.
 
The bottom line is that my experience has been that their products work as advertised.  It just takes perseverance to get them set up.

Hi Jay, Just wanted to let you know all's well with my boxes. Very happy with them, even, was able to get Comcast in manila to activate the on demand feature for both of them, even use the M card that came with the last one. Just wanted to ask if you have any specials coming up in the future to please let me know, they don't have to a DVR since they would be just for the guest rooms. Just looking for a good price. I received very good customer service with my cable box installation.  Jay was right there with me making multiple telephone calls and even staying on the line with Suddenlink and their friendly technician (Peggy).  After my picture was up and running Jay called me again to review all the features on the remote.  For my installation, a card was rented from Suddenlink at a cost of $2.89 per month.  Jay has agreed to reimburse me for the cost of this rental for one year.  I look forward to the telephone call from Jay when he can tell me that I will be able to use my own card, removing me from the rental obligation to the cable company.   For my purchase $175.00 including shipping, I now have all the features that a dvr has to offer and the convenience of Suddenlink's channel menu.  My cable bill is now @ $25.00 less per month so I will recoup my investment after about seven months with JAM's reimbursement check.  I want to thank JAM and everyone there for showing me how to save some money on my cable bill.     Dan (918) 577

Just wanted to thank Jay for all his help getting my Scientific Atlanta box going. It took some time and effort, but, it was worth it. I'll have to wait a little longer for it to pay for itself. I can live with that. The Cable company wasn't helpful in getting it to work and gave me a lot of lame explanations about how they couldn't activate the box and it had to be returned to the Mfg. for repair and "pairing up". Eventually Jay helped me. I got a cablecard from the provider installed it and called them to activate it. (After several calls to different "technical servers".) we finally got the card paired to the box and activated the box. Works great. A few days later my wife turned on our other box (rented from the cable provider and working fine for 5 years) and it displayed "this box is not authorized". Called their tech services, No help the first time, had to try a second time before I got a tech. that knew what she was doing. Had to re-authorize it. Everything is fine now. Looking forward to do more in the future with you guys. Thanks again. This is FYI no need to reply.

As discussed, this is to confirm that the DCX 3400 is up and running.  Also, to reiterate, Time Warner Cable is charging $3.00 for an M card in a "non primary unit".  Further, they gave me an MTR700 tuner unit that is supposed to allow access to VOD material.  Lastly, please take a moment to confirm the Motorola SD 70-200 unit is on its way. comments = Jay - I just wanted to let you know that I am up and running.  Thank you for all of your help.  Here is what happened.  After the box cycled through the activation, I still didn't have a picture.  So, I called back and they told me that the HD service needed to be set up on my specific "outlet" on my account.  Activation sent a signal to confirm that was my issue, (at that point, I got the video feed instantaneoulsy) but then I had to speak to someone in technical support who removed my old box and replaced it with the new card in the billing system and said that I was all set.  Thanks again, Sharon

I'm not expecting a response from this.  I just want to tell you about my experience with Jay, one of your techs.  I'm gratelul for everything he did to help me get my DVR up and running.  Every situation I faced, he helped me through it. I had problems getting an m-card from Comcast, and he told me exactly what to do and say.  Problem solved.  I especially liked how he walked me through activation of my DVR.  Once again, he knew exactly what to do and say. I can tell you that were I to do this on my own, I'm sure I would have run into problems, gotten frustrated, and given up.  That didn't happen.  Thank you again for all your help.  I wish there was some way where I could give positive feedback about my experience, rather than all the negative stuff I read.  Where can I go and give positive feedback about my experience regarding customer service from your company?  I want to tell people that your company does exactly what it says it does:  order and activate a DVR so I don't have to pay to rent one from Comcast anymore.

I just wanted to tell you how satisfied I am with your efforts.  I initially ordered a plain old converter box from you.  I went to my local TimeWarner store and picked up a Cablecard and then you walked me through installation and even helped me with a conference call to get the thing set up with TimeWarner.  After I found that TimeWarner would cooperate, I made the plunge and ordered a dvr from you.  Once again you were really helpful getting me up and running.  Initially I called the cablecard setup phone number for TimeWarner but was given misinformation by them saying they couldn't help me because I have an unsupported box.  I knew something was wrong with this response since my box was a DCX3400, the very same one they are renting to me!  In anycase, I decided to call the regular customer service number and they were super cooperative and went ahead and authorized my new box after I gave them a couple of numbers from the unit.  If anyone else wants to buy from you that is in TimeWarner's Southern California area, I will be happy to vouch for you.

We have always based our written warranties on the customers signed contract/service agreement they have with their service provider and State & Federal laws.
The bulk of our customers are with Comcast and below I provided their customer service agreement.
Our digital converters work exactly as we advertise them to receive customer subscribed programming & services.
Now if we advertised them to keep your food cold or wash your clothes this would be not only false advertising but a scam.
 
 
b. Customer Equipment. Customer Equipment means software,  hardware or services that you elect to use in connection with the Service(s) or  Xfinity Equipment. You agree to allow us and our agents the rights to insert  cable cards and other hardware in the Customer Equipment, send software and/or  “downloads” to the Customer Equipment and install, configure, maintain, inspect  and upgrade the Customer Equipment and Xfinity Equipment. You warrant you are  either the owner of the Customer Equipment or that you have the authority to  give us access to the Customer Equipment. If you are not the owner of the  Customer Equipment, you are responsible for obtaining any necessary approval  from the owner to allow us and our agents access to the Customer Equipment to  perform the activities specified above.  jam ent has failed to return many of our calls and medicom says they can not pair our dvr. jeff davis guarantees these Pace dvr's yet after 2 months of trying to get mediacom and jam ent. to get them to work we still can not record or get on demand. our next call will go to the co. pace but they require us to call the co we bought them from. jam ent. who fails to give us a cll back. If wat i read on jeff davis is true i wait for a call back from him. 2 months waiting. i spent $285 on these boxes.

HOW TO PUSH JEFF DAVIS BUTTONS - TELL THE TRUTH

Jeff Davis never had a customer who's cable box that did not work make his life interesting for 14 months. The reason the BBB closed the file because I demanded that JEFF DAVIS pay all monies to people that returned NON WORKING boxes and did not receive a refund. The BBB will receives a complaint and will give a chance to rebut. Nothing else.

In both the complaints the BBB posted on 8/5/2013 one involved the ATTORNEY GENERALS" OFFICE. Both complaints went unanswered like well over 90 others. Go to BBB and see for yourself.

Again, the refund never took place. I did get my money when FRAUD was proven and my bank reversted the transaction and took the funds from Jeff DAVIS account without his written permission.

Weissblatts, you were fully refunded over a year ago.
 
In this complaint you and others have read our Colorado BBB mediation offer which you refused when
the BBB confirmed you filed false statements to them that you claim you were never refunded.
 
When the BBB confirmed you were refunded on June 12, 2012 (over 1 year ago) your complaint was closed due to your false & slanderous accusations.
 
You called us several days ago and told us your an attorney working with a cable company
that hired you to put us out of business just to push our buttons. It worked.
 
All your false & slanderous internet complaints that you were "NEVER" refunded have been difficult to rebut
just like we are doing right now. He said, she said, or agree to disagree.
 
Weissblatts, you finally made the "MISTAKE" last month by lying to the Colorado BBB and got caught!!!
 
Within a few days it was confirmed by Hunting National Bank & the Colorado BBB you were refunded in

You underestimated your bank & the BBB.
They shut you down in less than 5 days upon confirming your lies and now you got some splaning to do.

A few days later my wife turned on our other box (rented from the cable provider and working fine for 5 years) and it displayed "this box is not authorized". Called their tech services, No help the first time, had to try a second time before I got a tech. that knew what she was doing. Had to re-authorize it. Everything is fine now. He went out of his helping me activating the new BOX as soon as I received it. As discussed, this is to confirm that the DCX 3400 is up and running.  Also, to reiterate, Time Warner Cable is charging $3.00 for an M card in a "non primary unit".  Further, they gave me an MTR700 tuner unit that is supposed to allow access to VOD material.  Lastly, please take a moment to confirm the Motorola SD 70-200 unit is on its way. comments = Jay - I just wanted to let you know that I am up and running.  Thank you for all of your help.  Here is what happened.  After the box cycled through the activation, I still didn't have a picture.  So, I called back and they told me that the HD service needed to be set up on my specific "outlet" on my account.  Activation sent a signal to confirm that was my issue, (at that point, I got the video feed instantaneoulsy) but then I had to speak to someone in technical support who removed my old box and replaced it with the new card in the billing system and said that I was all set.  Thanks again, Sharon REMOTE_HOST: 98.250.79.104

AND YOU WALKED ME THROUGH ALL OF THE STEPS, AND VERY EASY AND GOOD INSTRUCTIONS, ON HOW TO GET MY  HDBOX UP AND RUNNING.    I DON'T KNOW WHY THESE CABLE COMPANIES ARE SO HARD TO WORK WITH SOME TIMES?   ALL WE ARE TRYING TO DO IS TO CONNECT UP OUR OWN EQUIPMENT INSTEAD OF HAVING TO RENT  EQUIPMENT AT THEIR OUTRAGEOUS PRICES.  WE ARE NOT TRYING TO DO ANYTHING ILLEGAL.   I JUST FEEL GOOD HAVING MY OWN EQUIPMENT TO USE, AND THIS BOX WILL PAY ITSELF OFF SHORTLY. I just wanted to tell you how satisfied I am with your efforts.  I initially ordered a plain old converter box from you.  I went to my local TimeWarner store and picked up a Cablecard and then you walked me through installation and even helped me with a conference call to get the thing set up with TimeWarner.  After I found that TimeWarner would cooperate, I made the plunge and ordered a dvr from you.  Once again you were really helpful getting me up and running.  Initially I called the cablecard setup phone number for TimeWarner but was given misinformation by them saying they couldn't help me because I have an unsupported box.  I knew something was wrong with this response since my box was a DCX3400, the very same one they are renting to me!  In anycase, I decided to call the regular customer service number and they were super cooperative and went ahead and authorized my new box after I gave them a couple of numbers from the unit.  If anyone else wants to buy from you that is in TimeWarner's Southern California area, I will be happy to vouch for you.

Plain and simple will you do business with this company knowing that there are over 350 posted complaints. Can you believe someone who does not have the guts to give his correct name. Are you on this site because you were cheated by this company? I advised the BBB in Denver that Jeff Davis is the owner. They confirmed. Go to the BBB and see the latest complaint posted 8/5  scroll to the bottom and you will see his name JEFF DAVIS is sole owner.

Take our Colorado BBB Digital Converter Challenge

Here is our response to Catherine & bob Weissblatt.
 
In July of 2013 a year after their purchase they filed a complaint with the Colorado BBB.
Over the last 12 months they & friends called "anonymous" have filed 100's of false & fraudulent complaints against our company
 
We made them the digital converter challenge through BBB mediation below and they refused and closed their complaint 2 days later. This can be verified.
Take a minute and read our BBB mediation challenge below to the weissblatts to prove that our digital converter "WORK" or don't work.
 
Even though they initiated the BBB complaint saying our FCC & cable company approved don't work, they would not accept our BBB digital converter challenge but have sent us several e mails since. We copied & pasted their e mails responses below.
 
In the weissblatts complaint they provided their e mail address.
Ask them why they did not accept our digital converter challenge through the mediation of the Colorado BBB.
 
If they proved through BBB mediation we sold non working converters we agreed to disable our site, close our doors, but if we proved our digital converter "DO" work exactly as advertised they would agree to remove or rebut all complaints they've posted over the last year.
 
Our digital converter challenge is word for word is below.
The weissblatts even though initiated the complaint refused mediation through the Colorado & Michigan BBB.
 
 
Now that you filled an official complaint with the Colorado BBB we will be asking for them to intermediate.
You say the FCC & cable company approved digital converter you purchased (Motorola DCH 6416 HD/DVR)does not work, we say it does.
 
In the weixxxx BBB complaint they are asking that they(BBB) look into these complaints that our digital converters don't work. We can provide hundreds of satisfied customer (we have sent many of our customer testimonials to the wexxxxx)who will say they do work. Because testimonials can be fabricated like many of the fraudulent complaints against our company we may have a solution to prove our digital converter(s) work, or don't work. Lets find out.
 
#1 We ask the Colorado BBB come to our location in Englewood, CO.
 
We will pull a Motorola DCH 6416 digital converter, hook it up prior to activation and prove it won't work "YET" just like the weisblaats and some other say.
 
#2 After proving the converter will not work "YET" we will then go on line to the Comcast website for activation www.comcast.com/activate  or call there toll free activation# 877-405-2298. Over the phone activation takes around 3 minutes.
 
Following the required "plug & play"steps for activation the digital converter will provision to our authorized cable TV account in less than 60 seconds and will start loading our subscribed programming and services.
 
We will show the Colorado BBB it works here exactly as advertised.
 
#3 We then will disconnect the digital converter, package it up & ship it to a member of the Empire MI Chamber of Commerce, Police dept, Fire dept or ??? .
 
Whoever is pre determined to receive this converter must have a legitimate cable TV account with Charter Communications & follow their activation process.
 
 
In the event our converter(s) do not work as advertised and receive no customer subscribed programming & services as advertised on our site or the FCC site http://www.fcc.gov/guides/cablecard-know-your-rights
or posted on the cable company website we will disable our website and close our doors and admit we don't sell the FCC & cable company approved digital converters and were running a scam for finantial gain.
 
In the event our converters do work exactly as advertised we will expect a written apology from the weixxxx and complete retraction of all the the posted internet complaints filed not to exclude sworn complaints to Huntington bank,BBB, Englewood Police FBI and AG.
 
You know your money was returned to your checking account over a year ago.
 
You filed this complaint with the Colorado BBB so let them help you as you have already asked or we'll just consider this another false & fraudulent complaint and move on.
 
To the weixxxx, we know your going to read this, please contact the Colorado BBB, accept our digital converter challenge stated above and if our FCC & cable company approved digital converter don't work we will disable our site & close our doors.
 
If they do work we are coming after you for filing all the slanderous complaints against us.

Now that you have read our more than fair BBB digital converter challenge to the weissblatts which they refused last month, they have since sent us these e mails. We had to edit the foul language for this posting. Each e mail below was sent from the weissblatts e mail address and documented IP address.
How do you deal with customers like this when they refuse mediation?
Please, anyone out there reading this, ask the weissblatts why they refused BBB mediation.
They will not answer, don't believe us, ask them but get ready for a who;le bunch of nasty & foul weissblatt responses. If by any chance they tell you why they refused our BBB converter challenge please let us know their reasons.
All we want is for their vicious & fraudulent complaints to stop.

I'm sending this e-maice there is no place on your website to make a positive comment about a company…only a complaint.  I did business with the subject company under their name of justaboutsavingmoney.com, aka JAM Enterprises.  They are physically located in Englewood, CO.  I ordered two DVR's from them a few months apart.  Both of them arrived and worked exactly as they promised.  The PROBLEM was working with COMCAST!!  Jay Dee with justaboutsavingmoney worked with me to get everything set up, which was not an easy task, and not for the fainthearted.  I spent about eight hours on the phone and going to Comcast's offices.  Many of their employees said the DVRs wouldn’t work, but they actually DO WORK as required by the FCC.  When I set up my second DVR the process was easier, and more Comcast employees seemed to have been better trained.
 
I will admit that I was frustrated at times with my second DVR in that I didn't get phone calls returned as I would have liked.  However, I think they might be swamped with work.  I think they are being stonewalled to some degree by the cable service providers.
 
The bottom line is that my experience has been that their products work as advertised.  It just takes perseverance to get them set up.

Hi Jay, Just wanted to let you know all's well with my boxes. Very happy with them, even, was able to get Comcast in manila to activate the on demand feature for both of them, even use the M card that came with the last one. Just wanted to ask if you have any specials coming up in the future to please let me know, they don't have to a DVR since they would be just for the guest rooms. Just looking for a good price. I received very good customer service with my cable box installation.  Jay was right there with me making multiple telephone calls and even staying on the line with Suddenlink and their friendly technician (Peggy).  After my picture was up and running Jay called me again to review all the features on the remote.  For my installation, a card was rented from Suddenlink at a cost of $2.89 per month.  Jay has agreed to reimburse me for the cost of this rental for one year.  I look forward to the telephone call from Jay when he can tell me that I will be able to use my own card, removing me from the rental obligation to the cable company.   For my purchase $175.00 including shipping, I now have all the features that a dvr has to offer and the convenience of Suddenlink's channel menu.  My cable bill is now @ $25.00 less per month so I will recoup my investment after about seven months with JAM's reimbursement check.  I want to thank JAM and everyone there for showing me how to save some money on my cable bill.     Dan (918) 577

Just wanted to thank Jay for all his help getting my Scientific Atlanta box going. It took some time and effort, but, it was worth it. I'll have to wait a little longer for it to pay for itself. I can live with that. The Cable company wasn't helpful in getting it to work and gave me a lot of lame explanations about how they couldn't activate the box and it had to be returned to the Mfg. for repair and "pairing up". Eventually Jay helped me. I got a cablecard from the provider installed it and called them to activate it. (After several calls to different "technical servers".) we finally got the card paired to the box and activated the box. Works great.
