JB Robinson -- my suspicious episode

The same thing has happened to me with GAP card.
Is it a mistake?? It could be a loophole in the law that creditors in the ethical gray area take advantage of. I do not know what laws would govern regularity of creditors mailing account statements, but I do know that the creditors still expect payment regardless of what they might send me. And then a late charge is applied and the finance charge increases.
Think about it. Even with bulk-mailing rates at a discount per envelope mailed, the volume of statements from a brand such as JBR would incur significant postage costs. Hence, on the front end they save on postage and labor/processing costs by simply not sending the statement and and then, with a high percentage of their account-holding customers likely not keeping track of how often statements arrive, they generate added revenue on the back end with late fees and finance charge increases.
When I called J.B. Robinson, it was as if a script had been prepared. She immediately tried to dominate the conversation. When I said that I have not been getting regular statements, she immediately replied in a condescending tone: "Now regardless, your payment is due on the 26th of the month, EVERY MONTH!"
Anyone else suspect this could be happening to them as well? Any insiders heard about anything like this?
