As a widow on a fixed income (or anyone for that matter), I expect respect.  My checking account was in the negative when my pension went it; therefore, I could not make the car payment on time.  I communicated this fact to Janet and promised to pay 2 payments when I got my social security, which would have made the payment 20 days late.  Janet advised me that CNAC has no 'grace' period and I would have to make the payment.  I have overdraft protection on my account (at the discretion of the bank), so we tried several times to get the payment to go through, but unfortunately, it kept declining.  My personal banker and I tried to get a loan to cover the payment, but it didn't go through.  I tried everything I knew to get the payment, but nothing was working.  Janet was very respectful, patient and understanding with me the whole time.  The payment was due on the 1st and she gave me until Monday, August 11th to get the funds for the payment.  I tried all weekend to get an online loan, but nothing worked.  I called to speak to Janet on Monday to update her, but she was on vacation, so I spoke with Robin.  Robin was also very understanding and respectful.  I told her I was still working on getting a payment together and would call her back later that day.  My son gave me cash to make the payment; however, he could not take me to Kernersville in time enough to make the payment before they closed.  My granddaughter had an appointment, so she had my car.  She is on my insurance to drive the car, so I thought there was not a problem with her driving the car.  I called in to inform CNAC that I would bring the cash the next morning, since I didn't have transportation.  I spoke with Ryan and he was the most rude, disrepectful person I have ever encountered.  He asked me why my granddaughter had the car (which is really none of his business).  He went on and on about the contract saying that there were not supposed to be any 3rd party drivers.  I informed him that she was on the insurance and has always driven any car that I had.  He was so rude and disrepectful that I hung up on him!  I called back later and spoke with Robin (who was aware of the conversation with Ryan).  She apologized for his rudeness and I informed her that I would bring the cash in the next morning.  Robin was very polite and understanding.  Ryan desperately needs some customer service training!  Because of my encounter with him and their ridiculous contractual rules (i was only 10 days late...not 30 days), I will never recommend JD Byrider and CNAC to anyone...ever!

How Dare He?

AUTHOR: Robert - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, August 12, 2014

How exactly was KEN supposed to respond to you?  He stated nothing but the facts.  Such as you complaining about the "contractual rules"...even though YOU agreed to them.  I guess you want us to throw in a few "oh you poor thing" or an occasional "how dare that evil company treat you like this".

The fact is and always will be no matter how you deny it that you were late.  I find it interesting on how you say that the two women were nice.  Yet they gave you only until the 11th to make your payment.  I wonder how "nice" they would have been had you not paid it until YOU wanted to 20 days late.  By the way if you aren't due until the 1st why would you offer to make 2 payments on the 20th?  As some sort of good faith payment?  Well guess what they don't care if you pay early...they just want you to not pay late.

I also wonder how much effort you actually put into paying them.  Why did it just happen to be the last hour of the new date that you were able to get the money..but shocker..can't get down there to pay...oh oh.  Your son could have given you the money earlier..but NO..you waited until the absolute last minute(and actually beyond).

I find it actually quite humerous that you say that "You don't me or my credit history".  Well you are right about 1/2 of that statement, we don't know you but your credit history is quite obvious.   You also state you don't make a habbit of being late.  Well that unfortunatly is also false.

Oh and why do I know this.  Well for one people with good credit do not go to CNAC.  CNAC is for people who have not proven they can handle credit.  So it is very likey that you have a history well before this of late payments, perhaps a few collection accounts, maby even a couple of judgements or bankruptcy.  But of course any bad credit is not your fault...right?

So yes you do make a habbit of paying late.  Not only that let us not forget that you were already overdrawn on your bank account and that is a primary reason why you couldn't make the payment.

When you post on Ripoff Report, you tacitly agree to any rebuttals posted on your report.  It's NOT a requirement that you like or agree with the rebuttal.  It is the posters opinion of what happened and may or may not include advice on the original posting.

I reiiterate..YOU WERE LATE WITH YOUR PAYMENT(S).  Even YOU don't deny that.  BTW, I'm KEN, not Keri.

Rebuttal to Keri's rebuttal

AUTHOR: Lolly - ()

How dare you respond to me in that manner.  You don't me or my credit history!  Yes granted, I was 10 days late, but I let them know from day 1 and it isn't a habit of mine.  The payment was made this morning as promised.  My complaint was the manner in which Ryan spoke to me...just the same as you have spoken to me in your rebuttal.  I will NOT withdraw this report regardless.  Thanks for your comment, but you can keep your judgemental opinions to yourself!

The main thing here is, YOU were late on your agreed to payment...

All the rest of your rant giving escuses, I mean reasons, is irrelevant.

"Because of my encounter with him and their ridiculous contractual rules (i was only 10 days late...not 30 days), I will never recommend JD Byrider and CNAC to anyone...ever!"

Are their "ridiculous contractural rules" in your copy of the agreement YOU signed, or did they change them AFTER YOU agreed to them? Did they hold a gun on you to force you to agree to these "ridiculous contractual rules?  Didn't think so.

You weren't ripped off by them, you did it to yourself.  I predict a future of credit related problems for you.  No need to change the way you've handled your finances in the past...right?

Tell us again, what the Ripoff was.
