I hired JD Mechanical (Jose Dominguez) to install a central air system in my home. He completed most of the work and on the final day of work, I paid him the final payment in full (he claimed he only had an hour left to finish). To my surprise, he did not finish and left the job -- he promised to come back in a couple days and finish, but, of course, he never returned. After repeated calls, emails, and texts I have not heard from him!
To make matters worse, in the bad storm we just had, I learned that he had drilled holes through the roof to route piping, and never sealed them. So we had significant water in the house, which flooded part of the house!
Now I must find a new contractor to finish the work Jose Dominguez did not finish and also have repairs done due to the flood damage.
I will never contact JD Mechanical or Jose Dominguez again!

I feel certain that Jose Dominguez's REBUTTAL above is totally false. Jose also performed work for me and it is horrbendous. All ductwork on a three zone system will have to be disgarded. A return duct is undersized, flex ducts have improper R value and size, numerous masonry penetrations will have to be repaired. All this from two reputable companies. Additionally, Mr. Dominguez offers no direct proof nor is any verifiable in the above text transcript. Mr. Dominguez claimed to me that he broke his rib on the job, again without documentation or proof of any kind. See my report elsewhere on this blog. Mr. Dominguez, who claims to have spent five years building ductwork in a factory made every error possible on my job. That he offers negative observations above only serves to underscore the cunning devices at his disposal. If you wish to save money, buy a fan, do not hire Mr. Dominguez.

Im the owner of J.D Mechanical im taking the time to clear my name of absolute lies and slander. I took the job in early october to install central air conditioning in a house in connecticut we agreed on cash as form of payment, the job was going well until the third day of work and when i was about 95% complete, the owner came to the house and gave me last payment when I told him lll
be done In a couple of hours he said ok then leaves, I count the cash and its not what we agreed I called him numerous times and when he failed to return my call I assumed he was trying to pull a fast one on me so I left. I did this job for 40% of what other companies charge, as far as me drilling through the roof is an
absolute lie, ive been doing this for quite awhile and I would never drill through anybodys roof. Michael derby was a customer from HELL for his lies and greed
