Once the work was finished, they refused to accept a personal check from me for payment. After I paid and took the vehicle home I noticed a new noise, and unhealty noise. Something was not right.
I returned the vehicle to JK Chevrolet to have the noise checked. I informed them that it did not make this noise before they took my money to service the vehicle. This noise, they told me, was the belts and a pully that needed to be replaced. I asked, are you sure this is the problem and will stop the noise. "Yes, we are sure." I was told. Another 252 bucks outta my pocket.
To my disbelief after I paid and got into the truck it started making the same noise for all to hear. Once again they were checking to "find" the cause of the noise. This time the noise was comming from my A/C Compressor. "The part is about 800 dollars, sir. Should we go ahead and fix it?" I was asked. At this point I was thinking they were taking advantage of me, and could not shake the feeling that they caused the damage to the A/C compressor.
I can not prove this as I know little about cars and air conditioning systems. I do know that the day after I picked up the truck I found 5.00 dollars worth of quarters missing from my ashtray and all the stuff I had stored in the pockets of my seats had been pulled out and gone through.
I called and talked to the service manager but he pretty much blew me off and acted like it was my fault and that he could not do anything to help me.
I have 90 percent of all the service records to this vehicle since I have owned it. I know there was nothing wrong with the A/C before I took it to them for service. They told me that the service sometimes causes other parts to fail. I believed that until I realized that the noise started before they changed the belts and the pully. Now isn't that a kick...
I will never spend another cent at this place and I will talk as many people as I can into not going there.

I am the Service Manager for JK Chevrolet.
In response to this report;
It is JK Chevrolets policy to accept personal checks for service. We use a funds verification service for check authorizations. It is possible that there were multiple concerns with this vehicle.
It Is the policy of JK Chevrolet to resolve all customer concerns as quickly and efficiently as possible. It would be necessary for Management at the dealership to be informed when a customer has an issue involving dissatisfaction. At no time was I contacted about this issue.
I would be happy to review all of the associated documentation to support the customers concern and take action to try to correct any ongoing concerns that may be a result of any of the services we provided.

I have not and still will not ever do business with this company again. I know many others that have had the same or worse happen to them. This is a shady company, do not trust them.
