I am also a vctim of JK Harris, after paying them $6,500.00 to prepare back income taxes, remove a levy against my wages, as well as prepare an offer in comprise. I have received nothing except income tax returns. I hired and paid for their services back in Feb. 2005, and am still waiting for what I paid for. I see on one of the postings that someone was able to reach an attorney that was handling a class action lawsuit but could not find out how to reach the law firm. What steps should I take to see that these crooks are put out of bussiness? I see where a person named Peter seems to have taken them to small claims court and won. I did contact the IRS after they put a Lien on my property and found out that I could get a tax advocate to help me with my case. I have had to live on $150.00 a week ever since JK Harris was hired they did nothing to remove the levy against my wages which is why I hired them in the first place. I borrowed the 6,500 from my family since I have no money of my own. Now I have found myself homeless and unable to make ends meet not to mention that I now owe so much more to the IRS than when I first started out with JK Harris. This person is still on the TV advertising their services. They are commiting their crimes using the internet, TV, as well as the US mail. Why is this man not in jail?? Anyone with advice please post as I can really use the assistance. Has this company been reported to the FBI for interstate fraud? Any answers out there?

Wow, that's really unfortunate! You absolutely must do the legwork and really research these tax debt relief firms before hiring one. I came across ConsumerTaxReports.org, and they really lay it out for you: company websites, BBB ratings, average fees ... If you owe the IRS, you should definitely take a look at their site (http://www.consumertaxreports.org). I think it'll definitely help you out!

Why would anyone put their trust is a company that makes a practice of stealing money???

Your comments are noted. I am sure you have not been a victim of this company and of course are an employee who may or may not be aware that the company your are employed by makes it a common practice to contract for services for which they are either unable to provide or somehow through their lack of proper management do not have the trained personel to provide.

The bottom line is no one from JK Harris will respond to refunds do for services in which they failed to provide. I am not saying that every individual employed by this company is a crook. I do believe in fact that many of this companies lower level employees have no idea that some of the practices their company uses are in fact taking advantage of people. As far a communication I have over 50 + phone calls logged to this company for which they continue to fail to respond. There are also numerous letters and emails for which no response from JK Harris is ever received. How much communication and effort do you feel the average customer of JK Harris should have the burden of doing in order to get a response from this company in order to get an issue resolved or their monies returned. Does everyone employed at JK Harris have broken fingers where they cannot write a letter or make a phone call? I think not.

All any of us can expect is that JK Harris does at least attempt to provide the services for which they have been contracted and paid to do. And when JK Harris fails to provide the services for which they have represented they would provide that they refund the monies that they have taken from individuals who put their faith and trust in this company. How would you like to go to work every day for this company and never get paid? My bet is you wouldn't.

Weather you are willing to look at the writing on the wall or not the company that you are currently employed has some issues that it needs to improve on. It is my feeling that until JK Harris can show that it is making an effort and willing to resolve their issues with individuals with whom they have taken money from and failed to provide service that all buyers of any services provided by this company should be aware. And they would be much better off to find a company that takes pride in providing good communication and service to their customers. Buyer of services should not part with their hard earned money to a company like this.

Why should anyone pay for any services offered from a company that continues to fail to provide services for which they have been hired to do. The one thing JK Harris does extremely well is take money for services that for some unknown reason they are not able to provide. Why would anyone do anything to help a company that contucts itself in this manner to say in bussiness? Why should anyone assists this company in taking more and more money from people? Why can't JK Harris just do an honest days work for an honest days pay?

All I ever asked of JK Harris is for them to do the services for which they were hired and paid to do. Or refund the money for the services that they have failed to provide. What honest company would have a problem with that? I cannot even get a response as to why the services I paid for were not rendered. There is a communication breakdown which is I thought I would get what I paid for when I hired JK Harris and apparently, that is not how they run their bussiness. Silly me I thought most people would want what they have paid for.

JK Harris 165 Services Responds To Syntax Error

Although I am an employee of JK Harris 165 Services, I respond to this report as a principle centered private citizen, not as a company representative.

"Any problem, in any organization or relationship, is the direct result of a break down in communication; find that 'break' and fix it and you will fix the problem."

JK Harris 165 Services, LLC is a subsidiary of JK Harris & Company. Recently we have become aware of a "breakdown" in our ability to communicate with our prospective clients. In order to fix this break, I post the following:

Integrity is, perhaps, the universal principle most people would agree is of supreme importance to them. "When we align our thoughts, words, and actions with truth and have the courage to act with sincerity and honesty; we are then able to fully embrace the universal principle of Forgiveness."

It would appear The Rip Off Report might embrace this very philosophy as it provides a forum for others to share in their experiences. "Forgiveness is a conscious act that frees us from the damaging image of ourselves as a victim and dissolves the poison of resentment. Because we have the power to choose a new understanding of our situation, we are now free to extend mercy and compassion to OURSELVES and to those who have wronged us."

Regardless of perspective, I truly believe The Ripoff Report, as well as those who post there, would not want others to be injured through accidental or unanticipated consequences. In other words, who on this website would want to discover that they unknowingly are damaging others in their quest for forgiveness and justice?"

If one were to take the time for a closer inspection, it would be discovered that the beneficial work of JK Harris 165 Services, LLC is the complete opposite end of the spectrum from the postings on this website.

JK Harris 165 Services, LLC assists victims of investment fraud recover from a crime through a tax deduction. There are no complaints regarding JK Harris 165 Services, LLC anywhere (at least to my knowledge).

The unanticipated consequences of the "headline syntax" puts out to the nation in an internet search this following message; ",JK Harris 165 Services Company steals money and does not provide service." Nothing could be further from the truth.

I am compelled to post this message as a protection for those considering doing business with JK Harris 165 Services, LLC. Under a new understanding, we would all agree that the syntax of the headline was unintentional. Posting this note hopefully will help calm the fears of those already victimized by the deception of others.

The virtue of Justice is an essential value of the universal principle of Respect, "Wrong none by doing injuries, or omitting the benefits that are your duty."

Please post this "rebuttal" as a service to those who may land on this site in an effort to recover from their past victimization.

JK.Harris still doing it

None of this makes any sense to me why some of these top individuals are not sitting behind bars. Apparently, there has been at least one settlement in a class action lawsuit in which the victims will see very little of the money they paid this company to do work for.

What makes all of this so bad is that this company continues to use the same old promises to take advantage of their victims. What if anything have they changed in the way they do bussiness. They still take your money and give you nothing in return.

Why is the media all over this it is so open and these people need to be put out of bussiness or behind bars where they belong....

These so called case specialist only have 40 hours of classroom training and the rest is learned on the job of which they seem to never complete.

They not only have the nerve to rip you off once but they will actually continue to ask you to hire them to do your future tax returns. I am at least going to write the judge who settled the class action and advise him that the company he saved from bankruptcy is still doing the same practices and there are still victims out here.

Make allot of noise and put this company out of bussiness....

Need Advice on best way to get monies returned..

Well as of today JK Harris is attempting to get me to agree to continue doing bussiness with them. Lucky I have been reading these reports and am finding out that my is just like what has happened to so many of you. Anyone have any idea why there are so many different toll free phone numbers for this company?

I have contacted the IRS and found out that they have never even been contacted by JK Harris on my behalf. They are telling me that I need to send them a request for my refund for the services I have paid for and never received and that it will take anywhere between 30 to 45 days for my refund request to be considered.

Thanks to the mess JK Harris has put me in it looks like I qualify for an IRS Taxpayer Advocate. How does one take legal action against a company like this. Hire a lawyer or go to small claims court. They took my father who paid their fees on by behalf for $6,500 and only prepared 1040 tax returns that I think will have to be redone.
