JKHARRIS wilfully took money for an OIC that they knew would not be accepted by the IRS. According to the IRS, JKHARRIS is a scam. After talking with the IRS, it was revealed to me that a OIC is 'never' accepted if the tapayer has any equity in thier house. Since JK Harris is supposed to be the largest co. of its kind (mostly made up of layers and tax accts.), it seems to me that JK Harris didn't care if a OIC was accepted by the IRS or not. All they are interested in is getting your hard earned money; all the while pretending to be of concern to your tuation.

I as well, like so many others, had many delays in getting info from the office of JK Harris. It was obvious after a short period of time that they were stalling.

I even got a letter from JK Harris stateing that my offer had been accepted by the IRS, and that my payments would begin in 30 days. After about 45 days I called the IRS to see what the delay was only to find out the contrary. No OIC had been accepted. I was informed that only about 1 in 3 OIC are ever taken, and that if one had any assets or equity ( such as in a home) an OIC was never accepted.

I feel that JK Harris is a total rip-off, and that "anyone" would be better off in contacting the IRS directly. The ppl that I had contact with at the IRS have been very helpful and considerate in offering as much help ( and fully explaining all opions) as I needed in solving my situation.
