I accepted a 'position' for an inbound customer service rep position at JMB marketing and did 2 different training courses to get me prepared to take the inbound calls I was going to be receiving. Due to schedule mixups it took me a couple weeks to get through the training part. Once I was finally set up I kept asking for login info so i could schedule hours to work, they just told me to go ahead and start working and I will be on the clock for my time. Keep in mind the entire time I had dealt with them, I was told specifically that all calls were inbound. I get my internet phone system ready to go and as I am setting it up, I add 2 different call lists to the dialer, which both have inbound specified in the names of the lists. I start taking calls and am stumbing all over because you never get any real type of training to begin with, and the Call Center manager was completely non responsive to me, and deedra moore seemed put out by the questions I was asking. I take a couple inboud calls then all of the sudden I have a guy on the phone asking for my full name and city telling me he had already been authorized to get an arrest warrant issued for the next person to call from our company because he had already told 10 different people to put him on the do not call list. The guy was obviously wrong about being able to do that but I definitely understood where the frustration was coming from. So I message deedra about this guy telling me i called him.... she said, "the proper response to that is 'yes sir I did' and you deserve a congratulations'.... I asked her about what to do when people ask for a manager and she said that we were the account managers in charge of their accounts..... I took a couple more calls which were about just as bad as that one then I stopped because I realized the whole setup was a scam. They never paid me any of the money I clocked during that call session which they said they were going to and even had my account and routing number set up. These people are scamming people trying to find jobs into scamming people to pay for crap 'rebate cards'. What they are doing has to be illegal just for the fact they are getting people to work in contract with them under false pretenses. And sinde it actually involves taking responsibility as a manager when a person who answers wants to talk to one, and these people are on do not call lists.... Very shady and I'm sure very illegal operation
