LESTER IS A RECUITER AND THE ONLY BLACK GUY THAT WORKS IN THE OFFICE OF JNJ EXPRESS, YET AFTER THE OWNER KICKED ME OUT OF MY TRUCK, IT WAS LESTER WHO ENFORCED HIS ORDER, NOW BEAR IN MIND, I WAS STILL UNDER LEASE, YET THE CHIEF MECHANIC, STEVE TOOK THE KEY FROM MY TRUCK, DISABLE MY TRUCK AND I WAS TOLD BY THE OWNER TO GET MY SH*T OUT OF THE TRUCK AND GET OFF THEIR PROPERTY, AND NOW ITS TIME FOR ME TO GET PAID, AND PAYROLL GIVE MY CHECK TO LESTER, WHO REFUSED TO GIVE ME MY CHECK,

THEN HOURS LATER, KEN, THE SAFETY MAN CALLED ME TO TELL ME THAT IF I WANT TO BE PAID, I HAVE TO OPT OUT OF MY LEASE, NOW BARE IN MIND, IT WAS THE OWNER WHO KICKED ME OUT OF MY TRUCK, SO I TELL KEN WHAT HAPPEN, AND HE TELLS ME, THAT IF I DONT OPT OUT OF MY LEASE AND AGREE NOT TO SUE, THAT I CANT GET MY CHECK. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND CROOKS AS WELL, ALL OF THIS IS ILLEGAL, I HAVE CONTACTED THE USDOL AND FILED A BREACH OF CONTRACT LAWSUIT AGAINST THEM, AND IF THERE IS ANY OTHER DRIVERS OR EX-DRIVERS WHO HAVE GOTTEN RIPPED OFF BY THIS COMPANY, FILE A LAWSUIT IMMEADIATEDLY,

I HAVE REQUESTED ABRITATION SINCE NOVEMBER AND WAS ALWAYS DENIED BY EITHER, DON, KEN, LESTER OR JOHN JR, I UNDERSTAND NOW WHY THEY GOT LESTER THERE FOR, THE COMPANY SCREW THE BLACK DRIVERS AND SEND HIM OUT TO ENFORCES THEIR ACTIONS, DONT BE FOOLED, THEY ARE ALL IN IT TOGETHER, LESTER, NATHAN,KEN,DON AND JR WORKED TOGETHER TO VIOLATE MY RIGHTS, I FILED A COMPLAINT TO EEOC AND THATS WHEN ALL OF THIS BEGIN. LESTER TELL ME NOT TO LET THESE WHITE PEOPLE FORCE ME OUT OF MY CONTRACT, YET HE WAS WITH THEM ALL THE TIME. BEWARE!!!!! I HOPE FEDEX,UPS AND THEIR OTHER CUSTOMERS DO FIND OUT HOW THEY CHEAT THEIR DRIVER AND THEY DO GET INVESTIGATED FOR FRUAD AND TAX INVASION. BEWARE DRIVERS, THIS COMPANY DONT GIVE A DAMN ABOUT YOU OR YOUR FAMILY. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A REAL COMPANY, THEN KEEP LOOKING. THEY ARE A RIPPOFF.

MY NAME IS MARION CARNEY AND I WAS IN THE LEASE PURCHASE PROGRAM AND WHEN I COMPLAINED ABOUT THEIR DISPATCHER JASMAN, MY MILES WENT DOWN A WHOLE LOT, AND WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE OWNER, I WAS CALLED A LIAR AND LATER SUSPENDED FOR NO CAUSE, THUS DENYING ME THE RIGHT TO EARN A LIVING, AFTER 6 DAYS I WAS ALLOWED TO DRIVE AGAIN, BUT I  STILL HAD TO PAY FOR THE DAYS I WAS FORCED OFF, ALTHOUGH THE SUSPENION WAS UNJUST AND I WAS CLEARED OF ANY WRONG DOING, AND WHEN I COMPLAINED ABOUT ME BEING FORCED TO PAY FOR THE DAYS I WAS OFF, I WAS FIRED, THEY CALLED ME TO THE OFFICE, AND WHILE I WAS IN THE OFFICE, THE MECHANIC REMOVED THE KEY OUT OF MY TRUCK, DISABLE THE TRUCK AND THE OWNER TOLD ME THAT MY SERVICES WAS NO LONGER NEEDED, AND TOLD ME TO GET MY SHIT OUT OF THE TRUCK AND GET THE HELL OFF THEIR PROPERTY, NOW BARE IN MIND, I WAS STILL LEASING THEIR TRUCKS. AT FIRST I WASNT SURE IF THIS COMPANY WAS RACIST, BUT NOW I AM CONVINCE THAT THEY ARE, THE OWNER VIOLATED ME LEASE AND NOW I AM FORCE TO FILE A BREACH OF CONTRACT AGAINST THIS COMPANY, I AM ALSO GOING TO CONTACT ALL OF THEIR CLIENTS AND INFORM THEM OF THIS AS WELL, I PRAY THAT NO BODY WILL GET INTO THE LEASE PROGRAM, THIS IS A RIPOFF, THEY DONT PAY YOU, YOU ARE FORCE TO HAUL THEIR LOADS AND IF YOU COMPLAIN TO MUCH, THEY WILL FIRE YOU. THE OWNERS OF THIS COMPANY HAS RETALIATED AGAINST ME FOR FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE EEOC AND FOR COMPLAINING ABOUT MY MILES, AND MONEY, THEY BROUGHT IN AN ATTORNEY TO TRY TO INTIMATE ME, AND NOW I AM GOING TO FILE A COMPAINT WITH THE BOARD OF PROFESSIONAL  STANDARDS AGAINST THIS ATTORNEY, THEY TOOK MY LEASE FROM ME AND TREATED ME VERY POORLY, NATHAN AND JOHN JR HAS CONSPIRED FROM THE FIRST TIME THAT I COMPLAINED AGAINST THEIR RACIST DISPATCHER TO FIRE ME, I PRAY THAT YOU WILL NOT BE FOOLED. THIS IS A BAD COMPANY, SO PLEASE STAY AWAY.  I AM USEING MY NAME BECAUSE I AM NOT LYING TO YOU. THIS IS CRIMINAL AND ILLEGAL, TO ALL THE OTHER LEASE DRIVERS, PLEASE GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN, I AM ALSO CONTACTING THE IRS, SINCE THIS COMPANY FORCES YOU TO DRIVE THEIR FRIEGHT, THEN IN FACT, YOU ARE A COMPANY DRIVER,  I WILL NOTIFY FEDEX, UPS, AAA COOPER AND THEIR OTHER CUSTOMERS TO LET THEM KNOW ABOUT THIS COMPANY. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A FAMILY TYPE COMPANY, JNJ IS NOT THE COMPANY FOR YOU. THEY HAVE ONE BLACK PERSON IN THE OFFICE AND THEY SENT HIM OUT TO GET ME OFF THEIR PROPERTY, THERE IS MANY BLACK DRIVERS IN THIS PROGRAM, YET NOT ONE BLACK DISPATCHER, DONT BE FOOLED. Just a tip for you guys having an issue. The dispatch boss gave you guys everything you need to HANG that company. As an independent contractor they can not force dispatch,if they do the IRS considers it an employee employer relationship. It is easy to look up. Makes them liable for all the taxes they have not paid in on each and every one of you guys... Lol that dummy handed you the ammo just like that!!!!

its too bad you feel that way, why dont you find another job somewhere by yourself, we work too hard to deal wth eacist, and lester would fire you in a heartbeat if he knew you was saying these things, you are hurting the company and the lease drivers, do us a favor resign

i am a dispatcher for jnj express and its  shame when the lease drivers cries over and oer, when they sign their papers, tey know that its force dipatch,  how else could we make ourmoney, i got a guy in florida right now sitting because he cries all the time and wants to pick his own loads, this company has almost 200 blacks working them and about 20 whites and almost 90 percent of the blacks whine, they say that tey want to work, but all they want is handouts, especially the blacks in mephis and the black lease drivers, we have 1 black guy at work and when their is a problen, they run to lester who is also black, but has no real power to change anything, this is a good company and if you want to run, then we got the miles, im just tired of those cry babies, so wat is force dispatch, so what you dont make any money, thats your own fault, we got a black lease driver who cries all the time, im not making  money, i got t sit, finally we showed him that h dont run the show, please apply only if you are serious and you will make money. i am the driver managers boss and i promise to run you hard and shut you downn if you can take orders, so please stop crying and start driving

To be a good, profitable owner operator you MUST be a good driver and a good businessman.  Often times, you won't find those traits in one person!  It doesn't take a law degree to understand as an "independent contractor" you take on ALL the expenses of running the truck.  This guy was surprised he had to pay for fuel!  He clearly had no knowledge of what he was getting into.  Who's fault is that?  Like another respondent said, these FLEASE deals rarely make sense.  The company holds all the cards and you're no more "independent" than a dog on a leash.  They no doubt presented him with a contract which he apparently DID NOT READ.  Otherwise he wouldn't be acting so surprised about paying for fuel!  Again, who's fault is that?  Everyday we are presented with situations which require us to make a decision.  To do so, we MUST fully understand the consequences of that decision. 

these companies should be shut down and really investigated, to stay a driver is dumb to want to become an owner operator is silly, its the company who needs to be investigated and held liable

Most trucking companies that offer leases are just trying to unload tired old rigs to uninformed, uneducated drivers. Face it, the leases are written by lawyers for lawyers, not a trucker with a high school degree. Leasing very rarely makes sense unless you are a fleet owner and have very steady load traffic. I really feel sorry for those students in the trucking schools that get duped by these programs. They are doomed to fail. If the choice is ever lease or walk, take the walk.. you'll look back and smile.

You act surprised that you need to pay for fuel and other expenses.  Did you even bother to READ and UNDERSTAND what being a lease driver is all about?  Did you actually think you were going to be paid the GROSS PAID MILES for each loaad?  Are you aware as a lease driver YOU are on the hook for truck expenses?  Are you aware you are on the hook for BOTH ENDS of social security tax?  Do you have ANY IDEA of what you got into?  Am I saying this is a good deal?  No!  Its a FLEASE!  However, nobody held a gun to your head to get into this.  You were presented with paperwork to describe and define your position as a flease driver.  DID YOU READ IT?  Apparently NOT!  Otherwise you wouldn't be acting sooooo surprised to pay for fuel!  If you would have read what you were getting into BEFORE getting into it, then maybe you would have made an intelligent decision to not become involved with a FLEASE agreement!
