   ********BEWARE OF JOKSHOES.COM!***********

I am convinced that this site is a scam, based on my experience and other online posts by disatisfied customers.

Jokshoes.com pictures a variety of athletic shoes at huge discounts. I purchased a pair in January 2014 for $35.99 (listed on Amazon for $99.00) and paid via Paypal.

I never heard from them again - no order verification, no communications of any kind. I attempted to contact them three times, both through their website and three times through the email address provided on my PayPal receipt. I received no reply.

After more than three weeks, I filed a dispute via PayPal and it was quickly escalated into a claim. Fortunately, PayPal was able to recover ("reverse") the funds. (Thank you PayPal!)

I want to warn everyone I can about this site.

Scambook.com lists over a dozen such experiences with JOKSHOES.COM - people never receiving merchandise and/or not being able to communicate with anyone.

Redflagdeals.com has a post, alleging to trace the owner of this site, who, this person claims, owns several such shoe sites. You can see this post at:

forums.redflagdeals.com/http-www-ashoesbuy-com-site-legit-1394383/

ACCORDING TO MY PAYPAL RECEIPT:

Ladaawndwards@gmail.com

is the email of the party who received my payment and

Zhang ying is the Merchant

However, the post listed on the link of the redflagdeals.com site (above)

alledges the site is registered by an American living in California.

A few more observations...

THERE ARE SEVERAL RED FLAGS TO OBSERVE ABOUT THIS SITE, and while no one red flag suggests anything illegal, together they add up to a suspicious site:

1. There is template code strewn on different parts of the site. (Amateurish)

2. There is no telephone number, no customer service info, no physical address or anything else to identify who owns the site. (Again, non-professional)

3. The merchandise (athletic shoes) on the site are listed at HUGE discounts, in some cases lower than anywhere else on the internet.

4. The site only uses PayPal.

5. When making a purchase, I did not recieve any order confirmation from JOKSHOES.COM. PayPal did send me an email of the details of the transaction, which listed a strange email address and a Chinese name as the merchant.

6. Should you attempt to contact them after a purchase, there is no response (my experience, and several people who've posted on scambook.com).

7. I never did receive any merchandise or any communication from this site, once they had my money. Fortunately, PayPal was able to take money out of the PayPal account belonging to JOKSHOES.COM and refund me my money.
