Complaint Review: JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A.
JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A.Internet United States of America
JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. Chase Bank promotion coupon code, $125 bonus, total checking, new account, mail fraud, conversion of funds, bank fraud, defamation, Internet
On or about June 2012, Chase mailed an advertisement to me that promoted a $125 bonus for opening a new checking account.
On June 11, 2012, I applied online at Chase.com for a "Chase Total Checking Account" at which time I deposited $25 to the account number [DELETED]; I entered the promo coupon code number [DELETED] for the $125 bonus.
On June 15, 2012, I called Chase to arrange direct deposit to my new account and, to my dismay, was told by Chase representatives the account was closed (without my prior notification or consent).
I asked Chase representatives the reason why my account was closed and was provided no reason. In addition, I demanded that Chase refund my $25 deposit back to me I have yet to receive a refund of my deposited funds.
On June 16, 2012, I visited Chase [DELETED] to attempt to resolve any questions or concerns about opening the account. I presented my drivers license and social security number and was told by Branch Manager [DELETED] that my account was closed -she provided no reason.
In anticipation of opening the new account, I had also closed out the account with my former bank. Chases alleged fraudulent actions have caused me including, but not limited to - mental and emotional anguish, severe distress, tortious interference with credit expectancy, loss of time and money, and inconvenience.
I also allege that Chases wrongful actions have also posed undue burden on my former bank for having to close, then reopen my account.
I allege Chase has violated multiple federal and state laws.
First, Chase did not honor the $125 promotion they mailed to me. Chase, allegedly, committed mail fraud, misrepresentation and false advertising. I shall also file a complaint with the United States Postal Service for Chases alleged mail fraud.
Second, Chase accepted my deposited funds (legal consideration, quid pro quo), thereby, establishing a banking relationship. I allege Chase, apparently had no good faith intent of establishing a banking relationship as so proven by Chases actions to fraudulently deposit and convert my funds, then close my account, and never return my deposited funds. Chases actions constitute conversion and fraud.
Third, Chase, allegedly, fraudulently accepted my personal identifying information (social security number, drivers license information and other personal and confidential information), with no intent of establishing a banking relationship.I previously had a mortgage serviced through Chase. I was a victim of illegal foreclosure and embezzlement by my homeowners association, FBI and IRS are currently investigating several Nevada homeowners associations for fraud.
If Chase discriminates, defames and/or tortiously interferes with my credit expectancy as a result of being a victim of fraud, I shall take all appropriate legal actions against Chase and its agents to the fullest extent of the law.
Based on the foregoing allegations, I demand that Chase provide the reason for the account closure and immediately refund (via wire transfer) my deposited funds that were converted by Chase.
