I've been researching and looking for new aluminum polished wheels at the best price I could find in the US, because most things automotive are cheaper in the states then here in Canada. I found the wheels I wanted on eBay.com and from a retailer named "Auto-addicts" which turns out to be none other than "Jack Williams Tire" .. Their price was $599 With free shipping within the US and I should've known better than to buy from the lowest priced retailer on eBay and I know better now because everyone else's price for the same 4 wheels were about $100 more...here's the catch with their eBay listing, it doesn't mention anything at all about whether the lug nuts or centre caps are included or not, like any other normal listing does, so what does it leave a person to do to find out, you have to contact them which I did...turns out that the nuts were extra and the person replying through eBay messages who never once gave me his or her name, but they said they would put down the wheel nuts under shipping charges when I received my invoice....when the invoice came to my email address, I didn't realize it was "outside of eBay" which is a violation of ebays terms and conditions, but sadly enough eBay wouldn't do anything to help me out once I had a complaint. I had the wheels and nuts sent to an American address which is to a ferry boat service that offers this service to bring parcels into Canada as they run between marine city Michigan and sombra ontario Canada and charge a fair price for their delivery service...as I had a tracking number I drove 2hrs one way to get my new wheels, and paid the taxes at customs for them and drove another 2 hrs back home. Upon opening the two boxes the 4 wheels cam in I find out there are NO WHEEL NUTS so I message auto addicts through eBay to let them know they were not here as their reply was oh well we packed them and its a. Problem on your end because you used the method of shipping you choose so its out of our hands and will do nothing about it to correct the issue. Here I am with m truck on axle stands with no wheels or tires and now no wheel nuts and jack Williams could care less...I kept trying to be nice yet I'm upset they could not care about my situation...they finally said after about 6 times back and forth that the very best they would do is send them to me IF I agreed to pay $20 for shipping charges which I finally agreed to, so I said to go ahead and invoice me....while I was waiting, I thought I had better inspect the new wheels which were still in the boxes and once I did, they had scratches all over them and so I sent them another response through eBay mentioning this, and next thing I know I receive a Refund of $20 for jack Williams tire for the missing nuts and a note saying they will not reply to me any longer..I contacted eBay and they will not back me because it unknowing to me was invoiced outside of eBay and PayPal at least refunded the initial $40 I paid for the nuts, but what a lame way to do business and I can't even leave those crooks a negative eBay feedback because of it happening outside of their site..... So now I have no wheel nuts and I'm very frustrated to know there are companies out there doing this to unsuspecting customers...stay away from jack Williams auto folks as all the other rip off reports I've read about them tonight, it goes to shoe the type of people they truly are....sorry for the long rant.
