I found Jagg Rumph/Legacy Builders on VacationRentals.com and our family stayed in his vacation rental home for approximately one week. The property was 161 Hollister Ave.

Before we arrived he mentioned that he needed a $500 deposit to reserve the unit. He also stated that this money would be returned once it was clear that we had not damaged anything, etc. Which makes sense. 

Here is where it gets interesting... 

I emailed him a few months later after not receiving the check for the $500. He sent me this response:

"I have checked the accounts and show that a check was sent but not cashed. I will cancel previous check and resend. Can you tell me the address to send to your address or would you like to pick up a check?
Thanks!"

He claimed that he had sent it but we never received it. I offered to pick up the check or he should send it via registered mail with a tracking number. Then he disappeared. He has not responded to numerous emails and voicemails. I would be very cautious about doing business with this fellow again. 

I am going to take this issue to a small claims court ... I'm filing on ripoffreport because maybe there are other people he has done this to.

Somehow the payment was sent to another address and client did not receive right away. I stopped payment on original check and sent a second check to client. He received and cashed. This report is incorrect and invalid. Please remove. I have a copy of the check that he cashed.

We received a heartfelt apology from the Rumph's along with our security deposit. They re-iterated that the previous check was somehow lost in transit. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and am glad that this issue is resolved.
