Janian and Associates Loan Modification Scam Glendale, California

Our experience with Janian and Associates has been nearly indistinguishable from other complainers about this law firm.  In a nutshell, after failing to secure a loan modification, the company refunded only $1,000.00 of the $2500.00 fully refundable deposit.  We got the first installment after threatening to write them up on this site, but have not seen any more.

We recently learned that it is against the law for a law firm to solicit loan modification business out of state and were encouraged to report them to the California State Bar for having done so and withholding our refund.   We got their attention when we informed them of our intention to do this and they have twice told us the check is in the mail (after ignoring us completely); however, no check has arrived.  I am convinced that they have no intention of ever paying us; however, if you can wade through the California State Bar complaint process which is somewhat cumbersome, you may actually get some measure of justice (if not your refund).  Best of luck to all of you.
