I was left without a car and no money in the bank, so I went to JD By Rider for their no money down program. I knew it was a scam once I waited 4 hours in the store room with my six year old waiting for my paperwork to be "drawn up" . There wasn't a customer in sight... What was taking so long. I got to the point where I was about to sign anything just to get out of there. They led me towards a certain car saying how amazing it was so we decided to buy it. They told us it was a great idea to get there extended warranty to guarantee we get our car fixed with just a small fee instead of taking it to a mechanic to and getting charged more, so I bought it. I was video taped signing the paperwork which was super weird ,this is after being belittled by the guy who ran my credit and being told I'm lucky they are giving me a chance cause no one else would. I was told my car was inspected piece by piece for perfection. I then left and two days later I was having brake problems so I called and they told me to head in. I got a call saying to pick up my car and was told nothing was wrong and my breaks were brand new and my car was driven by them to make sure that was true. I had a friend of mine check the brake pads and he confirmed my suspicion they weren't new.  I drove it for a couple more weeks and still had the problem so I called again. i brought my car in with 3 quarters of a tank of gas.

Eight hours later I received a call saying my car was done and they "replaced" the brake pads for free as a courtesy even though there was nothing wrong w them. Driving away I realized my gas tank was almost empty so I'm thinking " how could they fix my car and use that much gas in the meantime . in the end they never switched the pads n I just changed them myself because I was so annoyed they lied. about 7-8 months later my car was undrivable. I brought it to a mechanic who told me the serpentine belt was one for a different car and had been rigged to fit . The mechanic warned me that my powers tearing lines were heals together by zip ties. The mechanic also said I see lots more issues but I'd have to really take some time to tell you all of them. Keep in mind a month prior they double charged me and when I confronted them they told me they don'tC  make mistakes, that I am mistaken , and was called an idiot for "obviously" reading my bank statement incorrectly.

I called my bank and 3-way called the representative, she told him I was correct they had charged me wrong. He proceeded to yell at her and mock her and refused to admit they made a mistake. I had to go to the store with a bank statement and even then they told me it was probably my banks mistake. Two hours later I recieved an apology call because they were wrong. Now I'm stuck with a car that doesn't work and a car payment I can't afford. When I went in to report the zip tie belt issue they pretended to be surprised. They offered to fix it and just add it on to my loan. which I refuse to get scammed with adding on more money to my loan and payment to drive a car that they fixed. It was unsafe then and I'm sure it will be if they fix it to. I am having the car towed there tommorow since it's not even drivable and dropping off the keys ... No matter how angry they are I'm just done. Moral is don't buy a car from them and if you look hard enough u will find several people who will give you a chance with bad credit. If I could go back in time I would have rather taken the bus for a month or two to save money then have a $14,000 loan for a car that has a Kelly blue book value of $7,000. I was a day late they called and belittled me and treated me like a child. I will never settle for anything like this again.

What kind of deal would you have negotiated if you didn’t know it was a scam?
