Maybe you should try paying your bills once, instead of being a deadbeat. People who dont pay for what they get are stealing and a drain on the economy and everyone else. On top of that bragging about it is even more pathetic. Learn to be responsible loser.

I rec'd a letter this week with this offer. The reason I won't accept has everything to do with the fact that this debt is now 7 years old and due to drop off my credit report in Sept. No need any opening a healed wound right?

They are trying to re-age an old - beyond statute of limitations debt that may or may not have been yours to begin with. Once the last date of activity (payment) passes the statute of limitations for your state - Jefferson cannot sue you and legally cannot collect the debt - by the way - they paid pennies for the debt.

Once you make that first payment to the Credit card - you just re-opened that old account. ITS A SCAM PURE AND SIMPLE!

STAY AWAY FROM THEM

As for the people that claimed it helped - it did not - it just re-aged an old debt and put it back on your credit report,

I'M SORRY THAT HAPPENED TO YOU, I RECIEVED A LETTER FROM JEFFERSON CAPITAL LLC ABOUT A DEBT I OWED FOR A IMAGINE MASTER CARD 394 AND A REWADS 660 VISA CARD FOR 300. THEY SAID I CAN GET ON THIS PROGRAM CALLED THE FRESH START THAT I WOULD PAY MY ACCOUNTS A LITTLE EACH MONTH ,AND I WOULD QUALIFY FOR A EMBLEM MASTER CARD ON THE ONE ACCOUNT AND I COULD DECIDE ON THE OTHER ACCOUNT TO EITHER CLOSE IT OFF OR GET ANOTHER CREDIT CARD I WAS KIND OF WIERY ABOUT IT, BECAUSE THIS IS THE FIRST PLACE I CAME TO CHECK THEM OUT RIP OFF REPORT AND LONG AND BEHOLD THEY WERE HERE PEOPLE SAYING THAT THEY ARE CROOKS AND EVERYTHING. SO I CALLED THE COMPANY AND SAID IS THIS A RIP OFF PROGRAM ( LIKE THEY WERE GOING TO REALLY TELL ME) HE SAID NO APOLOGIZING ABOUT THE THINGS THAT WERE SAID ON THE INTERNET. HE SAID IT WAS A GREAT PROGRAM AND IT HELPS CREDIT. MY CREDIT IS BAD AND I THOUGHT THAT THIS WOULD HELP. WELL LONG STORY SHORT I PAID OFF MY DEBT TO THEM FOR A LOWER AMOUNT WHEN I MAD THE LAST PAYMENT I CALLED THEM AND THEY SAID MY CARD WOULD COME IN ABOUT 4 WEEKS AND IT DID IT HAD A CREDIT LIMIT OF 150.00 AND IT WAS AVAILABLE TO USE RIGHT AWAY AND WHEN I CHECKED MY CREDIT REPORT IT HAD GONE UP 4 POINTS NOT ALOT TO SOME PEOPLE BUT THAT MAKES A HECK OF A DIFFERENCE TO ME COMING FORM A 490 CREDIT SCORE THAT WAS ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO AND I HAVE BEEN PAYING ON IT EVER SINCE SO THE PROGRAM WORKED GREAT FOR ME AND THE EMBLEM CARD I'M VERY THANKFUL FOR EVERYTHING WORKING OUT JUST LIKE THEY SAID....BUT I ALSO KNOW THAT COMPANIES CAN BE JUST HOW YOU DESCRIBE
