I recieved a letter in October from Jefferson Capital systems LLC offering to transfer the balance of an old HSBC credit card and allow me to build my credit while paying down the debt. I have horrible credit and am used to getting collection letters so it did not even occur to me that this was a scam. I have been trying really hard to take care of all my old debts, so i signed up. NOw 2 months later i find out that other people that have been dooped by them never recieved the credit card they were suppossed to get and Jefferson put negative stuff on their credit report. NOw i am really scared because i dont want to continue paying them but I also dont want anymore bad marks on my credit report. I feel completely helpless and dont know what to do. If you recieve an offer from them DO NOT accept!!!! They prey on those of us with bad credit and large debt.
