My problem is that, the original creditor I thought I've been paying off is showing on my credit as owing them still. And Emblem MC shows up on my credit as being paid. So now I am lost and don't know how to find out for sure WHO the original creditor was that had my account before Jefferson Capital had it. I've tried to contact Emblem and they said they don't have that information.
This is so confusing because I don't know where to go and I don't have my original paperwork that I received a year ago about the Emblem Smart Solutions Program. When I was making payments to Jefferson Capital each month, until my balance was low enough to transfer to the unsecured Emblem MC, I used to write down each payment I called in over the phone, the date I made the payment and who I spoke with. Once I was done with that process and my Emblem card was issued, I threw that paperwork away, not realizing I might need it again for information. That's what I get for thinking....
I guess I will try contacting Jefferson Capital and see if they still have information about the original creditor whom they bought my account from. For some reason I feel this might be a lost cause or a long road ahead of me. I HOPE NOT!!
