Last Saturday I purchased a table and chair set from you (attached is the invoice), I was told I could pick it up on Monday. I responded to the e-mail you auto send via e-mail and a phone call confirming it was in Rancho Cucamonga. I drove over 40 miles one direction to be told it got sent back to San Diego. They placed a new order and said I could pick it up Thursday. I sent in an e-mail to the service department and they gave me 10% off after I asked. I picked up the furniture and took it home. Built the first two chairs no problem opened the second box to find the legs broken on both chairs. I figured I would report these to your service department and have them replaced, I would just go build the table. I opened the table box and went to install the first leg only to find out that the Chinese factory you purchase these from had bored the holes for the hardware to place the inserts in for threading, and did not put in the insert. I called your service department and was informed they would deliver a new set at no cost to me the next day. I said "Great", and asked if he realized I lived in the mountains. He said he would call me back and hung up. He called back and said that would not be possible and that I would have to bring the furniture back and they would give me another $50 dollar discount. I declined and told him he could come get his furniture and just return my money. He said he could give me another $50 if I brought it back and new furniture, that he could not pick it up. So now I am on my third 80 mile round trip (240 miles total) to your store with a truck load of Junk furniture which I will be returning to your Rancho Cucamonga facility promptly at 10am today. I lived in San Diego for many years and have purchased from you in the past, I was excited to see you had branched north. Not any more, I would no more decorate my house with anything you offer in your store than I would leave a dead cat on my kitchen floor. Very disappointed in you performance and the horrible quality of the products you offer. One positive note is the gentleman I spoke to J the claims specialist was very professional even though I was upset and he did try to make it right. Unfortunately my experience with your company is far from satisfactory and even if you gave me the furniture for free I would decline. I know an enormous amount of people in the Furniture industry including the manufacturer of Ashley Furniture which your Salesman took the time to comment on their Poor quality. I believe I will spread the word of the crap you are pushing, the unethical sales tactics you allow in your store and just my general distaste for anything having to do with the Jerome's Furniture business practices.
