POSTED: Sunday, July 10, 2011Heck, I'm 75yrs/old and would never fall for this, nor the ;" you've won a hunnert gazillion bucks in the European Lottery and we know you didn't buy a ticket, but what the hey, you won anyway."

Call The Cops

POSTED: Saturday, July 09, 2011But, I know it upset you and your wife.
Just ignore the letter.. he can blow smoke all he wants, if he was serious, he would have already sued you.
He knows you are on fixed incomes and he knows if he sues you he will get nothing.
Don't even answer the letter.
If they continue call either the cops or your local Dept. of Adult Services and get to these Elder Abuse unit.
Also, call whatever state this guy is in and file a complaint with that Bar Association against him.

SCAM ATTEMPT!
AUTHOR: Jerry - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Saturday, July 09, 2011
POSTED: Saturday, July 09, 2011One giveaway is the internet address "usaattorneyoffice@gmail.com".
It might as well be Yahoo or Hotmail, it's still reeks of scam.
This is one HUGE red flag. Actual real official addresses have their own domain.
If the calls persist, ask for (demand) a confirmation of the debt, in writing.
Request dates and location when this loan was made.
Dollars to donuts, this "attorney" won't try to answer, but present more strong arm tactics.
Last I heard, no one can be placed in jail for debts, real or imagined.
Go take care of your wife and put this behind you.
