This is how Jersey City Ford hire their salesmen, and this is why you won't get any good service.  They used an outside company to solicit people to go in for an interview.  At the interview, the person will tell the interviewee that if he/she gets called back, the person will have to pay a fee to get training (and he will not reveal how much the training will cost).  The training does not guarantee you a job, but even if you do, you will only get reimbursed for the training fee after 90 days of employment.

I think this dealership is committing a scam on people who indeed need a job so they can earn a living.  I have found similar reports of other dealerships using the same scam.  They prey on the most vulnerable people because they are hoping that maybe after putting in some money for training, they may just make it back in the long run.  However, don't count on it.  Any reputable companies DO NOT charge their employees an upfront training fee.  Do you think you really should pay in order to get work?
 
I've contacted the Ford HQ and gotten a response that they cannot control these independently owned dealership, which is also absurd because if they don't set the rules, how can they control how these dealers represent their brand?
