Jet Wrecker Service / Metro Vehicle Storage Illegal Towing of paying customer Houston, Texas

Last night my friend's car was illegally towed while parked outside of Coaches Pub Midtown where we were watching Dynamo game and having drinks. Address below:

When we left the bar after consuming drinks (receipt to prove it), we realized our car had been either stolen or towed during the time we were inside. We went back into the restaurant to ask for explanations to our server Jason. He did not look surprised at all (very suspicious behavior, possibly an accomplice) and said that he had nothing to do with it and that there are cameras all over to check the property in case anybody parks there without going into one of the many business located on the parking lot. He said he could not help us other than giving us the storage parking lot phone number. However he also said that there would be images to prove whether we were at fault or not and to contact Jet Wrecker Service and ask to speak to Mike if we wanted to fight it.

At the storage location, there is only a very uneducated woman who is super rude and behind a bullet proof glass. It is obvious the scam artist places a woman there because it's harder to confront her if you are a respectable person. She refused to accept credit card which by law is illegal and forced us to pay debit. When verbally confronted she started cursing and asking my friend's off the property (we have a video as proof). The charge to retrieve the car was outrageous given the car sat there only an hour at most. It was $218.30!

The towing company itself JET WRECKER SERVICE has no address listed but only a P.O. box listed on the receipt to attempt getting away from complaints (typical scam behavior). Luckily google reports the address which I intend to visit tomorrow with a police officer. We also know the name of the driver RAUL 16870.

I first tried to call the number this morning and asked the assistant to speak to a manager or Mike. She said he was not there, and whether I could leave a number to be called back. I gave the number and told her either they call me back today, or I will proceed legally against all three entities (Coaches Pub Midtown, Jet Wrecker, and Metro Vehicle Storage). Of course she did not call me back. I waited until the afternoon when I tried again. Mike was now on the other line and she asked again for my number. I told her I would call back in 10 minutes. From that point on, every time I would try to call they would switch me automatically to voice mail without a chance to talk to anybody and they continued to do so until the end of office hours.

It is obvious that:

1. There are no cameras that can prove whether I left the parking lot or not
2. There is no chance to dispute regardless of the fact that I have a receipt to prove I was at Coaches Pub Midtown
3. Jet Wrecker Service is a scam artist as reported before on this same website by other people

I encourage everyone to file a police report and pay the $20 for a hearing. Most lilkely they will not show up to court and even if they do they certainly have no proves of wrong doing. Remember TOW COMPANIES are NOT THE POLICE. They have no right to confiscate your private property. Bring them to justice.
