Where to even begin Last month I called Jiffy Auto Glass to

get a new windshield put in my wifes Ford Escape, while doing the claim over

the phone I specifically stated that the windshield I have has the factory blue

shade strip on the top of the glass. The next day a technician named Chris came

out and installed the windshield, upon inspection I noticed that they installed

a windshield without the shaded glass. I called Jiffy Auto Glass and was

informed that they were all out of the shaded glass windshields. I explained

to them that I was very un-happy that they just decided not to tell me that and

come out and install the wrong windshield. 

After  that the person I talked to

apologized over and over again and said they the technician I had was fired due

to many mistakes similar to mine and that they could send someone out to put

aftermarket tint along the top of the windshield. I agreed to let them send

someone out and made an appointment for a couple days later for someone to come

out. After he did not show up I called Jiffy Auto Glass and to my surprise I

ended up speaking with Chris the technician they apparently let go, Chris

re-scheduled the tint for a few days later and told me the tint guy was on

vacation and apologized for the missed appointment. The next appointment rolled

around and again no one showed and no one called. I again called back and

requested since their tint guy hasnt been showing up that I would just rather

have them come out and replace the windshield with the correct windshield since

that is the one they billed my insurance company for. We set an appt for

someone to come out and replace it and again no one showed up. I called back

again and was informed they tried to call me but no one picked up so we didnt

come out. At this point my frustration with them was to the point where I just

wanted the problem solved and to be done dealing with their less than honest

business practices. I was told that they could send someone out again a couple

days later or they could just mail me a check for $40 so I could get a tint

strip put on and be done with it. I told them just to send a check and

confirmed the address, etc with them and was told a check would come out first

thing the next morning. After waiting a week and not getting a check I called

back and was told one was sent out and that I should have got it by now and it

must have got lost in the mail. I was then told they would send another one out

right now. It has now been 10 days since then and I still have no check.  I never take the time to write reviews for

places but I am beyond upset with how this company does business. I would

strongly recommend to STAY AWAY!! There are plenty of other places out there to

use and I cant imagine any being worse than this place.

Matt, all I can say is where were you when Chris drove up with the new windshield? Didn't you look at it before you let him get to work? Didn't you see that it didn't have the tint stripe? Common sense would dictate that you look at the windshield before you let him install it. I can't stand consumers who are their own worst enemies because they just don't pay attention to what's going on.
