I took my car into Jiffy Lube to have it inspected and to have the oil changed. I was told that a code came up that said it needed a new fuel filter. Given the high mileage on the car, I agreed. They said they would give me the fuel filter for $40 instead of the $60 it would normally cost. I was feeling pretty good about my experience so far. I left Jiffy Lube and noticed that they had charged me the full $60 for the fuel filter, but at the time I didn't think it was any big deal. Then, less than 1000 miles and less than a month after my so called oil change, my change oil light came on. It had never done that in the 7 years I have owned my car. I checked my oil and there was barely any oil in it. Jiffy Lube had either not done the oil change or they did not replace the oil after draining it. Luckily I got it to another mechanic before it did further damage. All this time I kept noticing that my car smelled like gas. I couldn't put my finger on it. I thought it was the gas cap but it wasn't. I finally took it back to Jiffy Lube just in case something had happened when they replaced the fuel filter. The mechanic assured me that that was not the problem. It was leaking above the fuel tank and that I needed to take it to a mechanic. That is exactly what I did. They found that when Jiffy Lube replaced the fuel filter, they broke the fuel line going to the fuel send unit causing gas to spray out. So I took it back to show them and I am now trying to get them to pay for their mistake and I am getting nowhere. I wasn't going to ask for a refund for the oil change or the cost to have my car checked by another mechanic or the possible medical issues from inhaling gas fumes on a daily basis, I just want the gas leak fixed at their cost. All I get is the run around.
The manager at this Jiffy Lube is named Richard and doesn't seem to ever want to talk to me, he is conveniently unavailable when I call.

After much complaining both vocal and written, including a written complaint to the Better Business Bureau, Allied Lube (who owns Jiffy Lube) called the morning I took my car in to have it repaired (09/08/2011) and said they were going to pay for the repair costs. They did in fact cover the costs. I believe it was God and my written complaint to the BBB that got them moving but I do appreciate them finally moving and taking care of the matter.
