I contracted with jkharris for my tax problem. I was told they would settle my taxes for $500.00, I owed about $24,000. All it would cost is about $3,600.00 for their services.
I signed up with them and of course, they did nothing. I talked to one of their reps on the phone for about 20 minutes, He told me he would call me every month to let me know, the progress of my case. I never heard from him again.
I did report them to the BBB, A few days later I received a settlement letter from jkharris to refund part of my money. I signed this agreement. They stated it would be 3 to 5 weeks after they received my signed agreement. No check. Monday of this week I contacted the BBB again. No response from them yet. They do have 10 days to respond, so I'm waiting.
This time I said that I want all of the money I paid to jk harris and company back. All $2,510.00 of it. I stopped paying them when I realized they were a scam.
I had better luck talking to the IRS myself, They (The irs) even told me I was doing the things that I hired jk harris to do.
jk harris advertises everyday, here in the Minneapolis area, Both in papers and on T.V.
Don't fall for this scam, they will get your money and do nothing for you.

Alan, Sorry wo say, but "Welcome to the JK Harris Conned CLub". Just read the other postings. JK Won't send you a check, and you shouldn't settle for anything but a full redund. Yuor also wasting your time with the BBB> JK stroke them also. Read the Charleston SC BBB and see how many time JK has had a happy ending, vs complaints. The agreement to settle that you signed is null and void. JK voided it by non persfromance per the agreement. Should you have any corrrespondance with them do it via certified mail, and do not sign a non disclosure agreement, You don't have to to get your money. The money you will get will be ordered by the court, and they have to pay. Follow my advise, and take them to small claims court. It works.
You take JK to small claims court, ask for the maximum allowed in your state, even if they do not owe you that much. Name JK as the defendant, and the sales person as the codefendant. If the sales person is no longer there, get the name of another sales person. That part is very important.
Use their office address where you met as the service address. JK thinks that they are above the law, so they will not appear. Should they appear, which is highly unlikely, they would have to explain why they have been jerking you around.
When you go to the hearing, ask for "Treble" damages, (3x's) the original amound, and explain to the judge how they have screwed you. JK still won't pay, but in 30 days you go to a collection hearing, and ask for a "Capias". this is an arrest warrant for the sales person to appear in court and explain why JK hasn't paid you.
Send (fax) a copy to JK HArris corporate, and send one to the sales office, asking them where the best place to arrest the sales person would be, home or the office?
At this point JK ususally falls all over themselves to get you your money. You will receive the amount awarded by the court, plus interest, and court costs. Been there done that, it works.
