This a becoming a real headache for me and others dealing with this guy Joe Cipolla, who has conned several people (including myself) out their money when it comes to auto parts, auto repairs, selling and buying cars.
In my case it was auto repairs. He did part of the work, although not correctly and the other part not at all. He even stole a fiber cloth out of my car too! He's been running this scam for way over 10 years, served jail time in Pontiac and continues on the same path.
I've yet to talk to one person with the Chicago Police Dept. who will do anything about him. Even taking a simple police report seems to be a bother with them! Really, what do you have to do to get them to take action against a habitual offender? They insist it's a civil matter not criminal? Really? Why do we even have a police department if they won't do anything???

..... of Business Affairs & Consumer Protection and although there was a Hearing he never showed up. This is common with Joe Cipolla. Fine went from $1,400 to $6,500 Will I ever get my money back, doubt it? How can you get money from someone who only deals in cash?
If you were scammed by him please file a report with the Attorney General's office. I did and got a response from him, offered to pay only a fraction of amount owed. Declined the offer. Just so you know he's famous for offering money but NOT paying it back. Also, was told I was the only one that ever filed a report with them, they don't go after a person if there's only one complaint.
Just watch out for him and if yo do get scammed out of money like I did be prepared with dealing with a justice system that isn't very just!

You completely destroyed my car - my transmission, burned holes in my seats, pulled out a sensor, didn't do the work you were paid to do, worked with Sergio to con me, and then wouldn't give me my car back. And now you're advertising on Craigslist yet again. You just got off on 2 counts of auto theft in Will County - you're kinda like Teflon. But rest assured that you have left a trail of destruction in your wake, and Karma will catch up with you.

I am aware of this guys past...he works on my Range Rover and my wifes Mercedes. He always does a great job and we have referred many people his way. I just talked to Joe about this complaint, and the email you sent me. You are the only person who is having the police knock on your door, not Joe. We've filed civil redress in two counties. You should expect men in pretty uniforms with shiny badges at your place of business this week we're assuming.
PS- I am also his attorney you emailed.
You really must have nothing better to do with your time. Enjoy the embarrassment. We will also continue to have you served over and over again.
