I ordered product from his web site, never got confirmation, never got the product. After several days I followed up by email and voice mail.

It took 4 days for him to respond to my email (he never answered my voice mail messages), but when he did respond, he said "we don't offer any overnight services so rather than process the order for the [product] we will pass as we cant meet your need for overnight service." he never let me know this and he also told me they don't accept AMEX, but I used Visa.

Several emails followed that were full of lies and deception that contradict his shipping policy. His fees for restocking, processing, and priority shipping are deceptive and outrageous.

AUTHOR: Stacey - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, July 28, 2006

I am real, and if you read my other post, you will realize how disrespected I feel by Mr. b***s comments (no pun intended he made it too easy).

It is immature and highly unacceptable in the adult world. I question his maturity.

Anway, as of today July 28th, 2006 no responses. I will keep you posted, but it looks like everyone is happy! :)

And no business is not bad, we have about 25K orders and growing a month.

Thanks so much!

Thanks Boob for Pointing this out....

AUTHOR: Joe - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, July 27, 2006

I had a feeling that the "Maria" mistake Stacey made in my post was for this reason. I appreciate you sending the URL, Boob.

I'll still give Stacey the benefit of the doubt. Maybe she's truly attempting the monumental task of clearing Joe Richey's name. If anyone has positive comments about Stacey, please advise on this post!

I have a feeling that Tim Knox is also Joe Richey, but that's just speculation. Maybe that's why Stacey seemingly replied erroneously.

Stacey, maybe you can clarify...is Tim Knox also Joe Richey???

{side comment} BTW Boob...the "won't confess" comment was very funny, but I think Stacey might be a real person!

Stacey, if that's your real name

AUTHOR: Joe - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, July 27, 2006

Hi Stacey,

I hope you're sincere in this response, but I have to tell you, I'm already skeptical because you start off with "Hi Maria" and that sounds like you copied and pasted this letter all over the Internet and forgot to change the greeting.

Anyway, see my earlier post from 6/27/2005 and read the posts after that. I haven't had to deal with your company for over a year and I have no intention of trying to resolve it again because the loss is pennies compared to others and not worth my time; I have already been down that road.

However, I would like to extend the offer to others who have lost money or been scammed out of the ridiculous stocking fees, those rip-off catalogs, or cheap products that didn't stand up to the advertisement.

If anyone emails Stacey and it turns out to be legitimate, please send a rebuttal to this forum and I'll certainly reconsider. Hopefully, the rest of those who have been scammed will get their issues resolved as well. This could be the road to a good reputation...who knows?!

I hope you mean what you say, Stacey. If you are sincere, Thank you for changing your policies! If you're Joe Richey in disguise again (yes again!) shame on you.

AUTHOR: Val - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, July 20, 2006

I placed an order from swapselltrade in the past...maybe about a year ago or so and found what i bought to be terribly mis-leading. I tried to get refund as well and the person i worked with was not very consumer friendly and of course i never recieved my refund, The amount was small...I think about 29 or 39 dollars but it is the principle of it all that matters. I never pusued this becasue amount was very small but this because of this one problem, this business has lost a repeat customer. I also have seen swapselltrade mentioned on wholesale forums as selling cheap unsellable items that they do not refund. I wish i knew about the wholesale forums and rip off report before i placed my order with these people. want to say to the person who posted this that you are saving people alot of money by allowing people to avoid this company.

Buyer beware

AUTHOR: Mike - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, June 11, 2006

All of the threads above seem to indicate that the owners of the companies mentioned (over and over) have a serious problem. Truthful and timely communications (on both sides of the dispute) are all that it takes to get it right. Cussing and name calling on either side never help. If the companies involved are sincere, we would see it in diminished.. no eliminated threads. I for one was going to start an on-line store and might have considered doing business with SwapSellTrade or one of the connected companies but will not now, thanks to RipoffReport. Bless the service they provide. Simple preceedence, like the Ebay star seller system where good sellers are indicated by how many good feedbaks they get, bad reports listed here are another great indicator.. buyer beware!

Charles getestore Joe Richey in on it together

AUTHOR: Zara - (United Kingdom)

POSTED: Sunday, March 12, 2006

I nearly gave up on this thread, but glad I didn't, I was ripped off for $59.95 by Universal Banner Network Inc. which are part of getestore.com - I thought myself that getestore & netdropshipper looked pretty similar - i.e they have the top selling eBay products & brands to get eBay sellers like me interested - ipod sony xbox dior gucci trademarks & logos.

I've quote a bit of charles info again below for reference & I'll go find out about this joe richey guy, if he is the worm I imagined, sitting there in his apartment watching the cash roll in from scams, I hope the fbi get him!

I don't have a problem with people making money, but why the hell scam people for it ? Why waste a good business model???

I've read about the apartments where this bloke hangs out, what worries me, is maybe even he is being ripped off & there are even bigger fish getting the bigger cut of this silly deal, if this is the case - turn over a new leaf Joey - turn your business good - take a big bundle of that cash & give it to homeless people, give it back to us/invest in something good or you'll end your days as a lonely old man with nothing to remember but bad stuff - if you can't offer us good service, hire staff get it together, admit you goofed (at least to yourself) -
The stress of being such an a*s to others must be horrible to live with - I could have fed my dog for another month on that money you troll:(

I think Charles is on the right track & all these Companies are run by the same bunch of crooks & this mythical "joey" figure is just that not really a name of a real person at all.

Joe Ritchey is out to rip you off, don't let him get away with it!

AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, February 12, 2006

First I would like to say Nice Job Charles bringing us all up to date on Scumbag Joes current sites and various scams he is pushing.

Joe Ritchey is a liar, scam artist and all his sites and promotions are fraudulant. This is a FACT and all the postings here PROVE this fact.

After he rips you off, he just moves on with a new name or web site URL and victimizes someone else.

Just try a Google of Joe Ritchey or any of his fraudulant web site URLS and add the word complaints or SCAM to it and you will get back dozens of sites with complaints about him and his fraudulant business practices from HUNDREDS of his victims.

Everyone who has been victimized or ripped off by him needs to file a complaint with the Oregon Attorney Generals Office, Their own states Attorney Generals Office, The Internet Fraud Bureau and the Postal Inspectors.

I have filed complaints with all the above and am keeping in touch with the various agencies who are now aware and seeing a growing pattern of complaints against this scam operation. With the continued complaints coming in, soon they will be opening an investigation into this fraudulant company and Joe Ritchey will be forced to face justice.

File your ripoffreport and complaints with all the above agencies right away to help bring an end to the fraud this person, Joe Ritchey is committing all over the Internet.

I AM MARC .. Joe Richey, a wretch in his final moments of desperation

AUTHOR: Marc - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, December 29, 2005

This is ridiculous... I don't even know what to say. My Name Is Not Marcus! I Do Not Live In Long Beach! And I Did Not Make The Mistake Of Blaming Joe Richey For Ripping Off My Friend! No! I Unmistakingly Blamed Joe Richey For Ripping Off EVERYONE He's Caught Between His Filthy Little Paws. is richey now masquerading
around with false statements and rebutes to cover his own defense? has he resorted to disguises and fake claims to make himself appear the good guy?
are we witnessing the poorly contrived retaliations of a wretch in his final moments of desperation? ...Absolutely Ridiculous!

Holy cow! Joe Richey himself got scammed?

AUTHOR: Patrick - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 28, 2005

OK, I have not yet delved into the numerous reports about Joe Richey and swapselltrade, but I ran across this report yesterday:

http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff169179.htm

and then I remembered that Joe Richey is from Cornelius, OR. Could it be possible? Did Joe Richey, the king of the scammers, get scammed himself?

Or was he really trying to get something for nothing, and got busted? You read the report and decide for yourself.

Sorry, but this was just too funny to pass up.

Joe Richey would steal from his own mother, he is a low life genetic inbreed who preys on innocent people

AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, December 22, 2005

First off Joe, stop wasting your time sending your meaningless Shills to try and defend your deplorable behavior. Tom, Marcus (Marc) or who ever you really are, don't waste our time, we are all victims of Joe Richey and his fraud and you are not going to convince us or anyone else of what we already know to be true, Joe Richey is a lying, con man who ripped us and many other decent people off.

Swapselltrade is a fraudulent company and Joe Richey is a scam artist, this is a fact proven by the countless reports against them. Anyone doubting this simply needs to google the name Joe Richey or swapselltrade. Using different google combinations like complaints against Joe Richey or swapselltrade complaints will return numerous complaints filed against this crowned king of scum.

Anyone who has had first hand dealings with this inbreed knows all too well he is not interested in satisfying or working with them. He is rude, arrogant and could care less about having ripped them off.

His advertising is outright fraudulent. Do not believe one word of it. Here are just a couple of his outrageous frauds; Joe claims to be liquidating a camera store and is selling a mixed bag of digital cameras. He claims he cannot promise you any particular types or brands of cameras but that their is a mix of product. Well, what this scumbag inbreed con man does is purchase low cost digital cameras from a company called Premium Connections and pretends he is going to give you a mix of cameras for your money. Instead he gives you Vivatar digital cameras with less then 1 megapixel that sell on Ebay for under $10! Instead of the "mixed assortment" of digital cameras you are expecting, you get a box of Vivatar cameras that he has overcharged you for by 4X what they should be selling for.

Want Another example? Ok, old scumbag Joe advertises that he is liquidating gold jewerly such as chains and braclets. You think this sounds like a good deal, as he promises you a nice assortment and prices them so they average $3 to $5 a piece. What you get is a box of FAKE gold plated products that are sold in dollar stores and flea markets for less then a dollar a piece! No where does he state he is selling gold plated jewerly and you do not find this out until the junk arrives at your door.

Once you have accepted the delivery you immeditely realize you have been scammed. When you contact this low life, product of incest you really get a feel for him and his ways. At this point he knows he has already ripped you off, but he is not fully content, he tries to get you again! He tells you that you can return his junk, at your expense and he will refund you less a 30% restocking fee! When you bring to his attention that he has lied in his ad, on his web site and that you have been scammed, he rudely informs you that it is too bad and that he has a good lawyer to handle his fraudulent acts.

Or how about your scam where you show one price on your web site, collect orders at that price and then charge a higher price to your customers then what you had showed on your site. When they complain, you go change your web site to try and hide your fraud and post the higher fraudulent price you charged them. You try defending this fraud by claiming what they saw was if they bought your junk by the dozen or by the case, but too many people have print outs showing that was never mentioned in your fraudulent web site ad. Busted!

These are but a few of the cons and scams this dirtbag has pulled on innocent people. He scammed me for a few hundred dollars, many others on this site and other sites have lost between a few hundred and a few thousand to him.

Well Joey old boy, the time has come for you to finally be stopped. Your victims are gathering, we are getting in touch with one another and we are finally talking to the right authorities who will put a stop to your fraud. Unfortantely for you there is strength in numbers and you have left such a trail of victims that the numbers are against you.

Maybe it's time for another name change or better yet to close up shop, crawl back under the rock from which you slithered out of and stop preying on good hard working decent people. I doubt you will take this good advice, so we your victims will have to do it for you through the legal avenues we have started speaking to.

I will be monitoring and updating your report here very frequently, so each and every new scam you hatch will quickly get posted. Every new victim I locate at other complaints sites will be encouraged to come here and post as well, so that a real complete working copy of all your scams and frauds can be seen by all.

Until next time,

Never stop fighting for what you have been cheated out of! File a report here, with your states Attorney General and the Attorney General in Oregon, the Postal Inspectors, the FBI, and every other complaint forum you can locate.

AUTHOR: Joe - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, December 22, 2005

Holly,

I have no doubt you're quite correct. I have watched Joey run all over several web sites trying to fight his own defense. He does indeed respond very quickly and I'm with you. Even though I didn't think it was possible, I think he just sunk to a new low. I would love to hear from the real Marc to verify.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if Joey responded stating it wasn't him. Joe, save the time! If it really wasn't you, it's a shame because I would never believe it unless it was proved. If it was you...well, you know how we all feel about you anyway.

Holly, that was not Joe Richey who posted as Marcus. Marc/Marcus are the same person, me. I had just realized that my city listed was wrong after I posted. I moved several months ago so I changed the outdated info. Marcus/Marc are both names I go by but it doesnt really matter. I was only apologizing to Mr. Richey for the things that I said. As I stated, I had wrongfully thought that he was responsible for ripping my friend off. But I learned later that he was not the one to blame. And I took back the opinions I made about his business practices. Thanks Marcus

Marc/Marcus Must Have Moved

AUTHOR: Holly - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, December 22, 2005

On 12/20 Marc, in Cerritos CA posted "Joe Richey is a Crook". He was advising people not to do business with Joe Richey. On 12/21, MARCUS in Long Beach CA posted "My Mistake". Now he is apologizing and happily withdrawing the negative opinions about Joe's business. Isn't it strange that Marc is now Marcus, and he moved from Cerritos to Long Beach literally overnight? Why would Marc go to the trouble of changing his name and city? He wouldn't. The post from Marcus is really Joey Richey. The only person who has anything good to say about Swapselltrade is Joey Richey. Anytime there is a post, Joey responds immediately. Funny how all these people, who don't know each other, are complaining about the same thing. Why would they want to do that to you Joey? You've got such a wonderful business, I can't possibly imagine why they are trying to ruin you! Ha ha ha ha ha. Why do you care so much what is being posted on this site? People are obviously still falling for your scams, so who cares? Do us all a HUGE favor and quit posting! No one believes you anyways. The more you post, the more negative feedback you're going to receive. So stop, PLEASE! We are all begging you!!!

Let's time this to see how long it takes for Joey to respond.

POSTED: Wednesday, December 21, 2005

Joe Richey, I apologize for my previous comment. I was angry.. I believed that you had ripped off my friend, and that your business practices were deceitful. I am sorry. As it turns out, your company was not the one at fault in the situation, and I was wrong to assume otherwise. I happily withdraw the negative opinions I expressed about your business. Perhaps it is small misunderstandings like this one that tend to send out the wrong idea about your business practices. Who knows? But for my own part, I would like to apologize to you. Thanks.

JOE RICHEY IS A CROOK.

AUTHOR: Marc - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 20, 2005

The real question many of you are wondering is, of course, how "joe richey" has stayed in business all this time, growing ever infamous, and continuously ripping off innocent people. I believe I can attemp to answer that. First of all, just by reading joe's website and his comments, it seems completely obvious that this guy is a jerk, not to mention the fact that he does not sound professional in any way shape or form. I am almost positive Joe Richey is not even his real name, and I would imagine that his "customer service staff" and employees are nothing more than a few of his buddies/family members who are all in on the scam. Come to think of it, I would bet that "Joe Richey" is just a figment of their imagination, a made up person to promote a crooked family's business. But back to my attemp to explain how they are still in business. Well, it really comes down to Richey's Mailing list and email spam. Swapsell will do just about anything to get their hands on email addresses of new ebay sellers, home business owners etc etc.. Their target is new, nieve, even single mothers; Brand new to sole proprietorship, who are desperately searching for product sources to get their new company started. Email addresses such as these are not hard to get, and something I have personally witnessed with ss, is that they WANT YOUR EMAIL ADRESS very much. (I was on Joe Richey's mailing list, so this information is based on pure fact.) He (they) sends many promotional emails a week, all containing lies to trick the people in to doing business with ss. On one occasion, I remember joe sending out emails about how he was in florida attending trade shows. He would provide pictures every day of really great stuff, and then claim that he could sell them to us for these really ridiculously low prices. ALL LIES! LIES LIES LIES LIES!!! On another occasion, I remember he sent out emails entitled "We Regret To Inform You That Joe Richey Has Died In A Plane Crash On His Way To A Trade Show." Then once you click on it, it has all this stuff about auctioning off all Joe's items for a close out, due to the fact that he was dead. Then the next day we get several other emails from Richey saying that he was not dead after all, and to come to his site and check out all his great deals. I remember getting at least 2 emails a day from richey. Everything he says in all his emails is lies lies and more lies, designed only to bring up the hopes of great deals to unsuspecting customers and then ripping them off to high heaven............. I guess the point of all my ranting and raving is just this; DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH JOE RICHEY!!!!

Now that you have read that. What you are saying Leigh is it's alright to offer something for a price and send something else as long as it looks like a "good deal."

I respectfully disagree. If a person goes to a car dealership and is offered a 2005 Honda Civic for $10000 even though a Civic stickers for $15000, it doesn't give the dealership the right to sell them a pinto painted and dressed up like a Civic.

If I order a piece of Filet Mignon from a restaurant for $4, it does not give them the right to give me hamburger.

I am at fault for being told I would get $500 in free groceries and getting coupons that would cost me $100. If you feel this way Leigh, I feel sorry for you. Just because it was "too good to be true" doesn't mean someone has the right to send something other then what they offered in the ad.

Just so you know, the restocking fee is a small book of coupons for groceries ($2 to use each one) and a small book of coupons for buy one get one free film.) I tend to doubt it takes much to restock that.

Maybe I live in a fantasy world, but when someone offers you something and you pay for it, you have the right to get whatever that person offers you. It does not give that person the right to send something else in its place just because "it sounds too good to be true."

I am sorry but, CAN'T WE ALL GROW UP? Okay look if you buy something for a good price usually there is a small catch. HEEEELLO!!

AUTHOR: Leigh - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, August 25, 2005

Let's Grow up here. Think about it. You sign up and you are wanting something for cheap or free - RIGHT? Well my goodness anywhere you go in any business most all things have some sort of a catch wether it be small or large. You need to have a business head and take the time to check things out. I have been to the site and it specically states all jewelry is plated unless otherwise noted. And you got a $500 dollar shopping card. Hello unless you specifically go to Walmart or somewhere else and purchase a gift card (hence you actually are still paying for your items) you can't expect to get a completely free shopping experience. Meaning if you are getting 400 in food and only are paying 100 and that isn't good enough. Does that make you selfish? And I am a stay at home mom with 4 kids and even I have enough sense to understand that nothing is free and there are catches to EVERYTHING. If you get a 1000.00 shopping spree do you not already have enough sense to know that something else will be some what inflated (shipping, the price of the item, etc) they will still need to make their money or what is the purpose? I am sorry if you don't have enough sense to question things more thorough before you spend your money then some of that ends up being your mistake. Also, yes their website can be overwelming and things are listed for diferent prices in different areas - umm you can fix that situation of confussion by calling customer support with your order and get an exact price. And are you telling me that if you carry 1000's of inventory you wouldn't charge a restocking fee? If so you are nuts - there would be way to much involved in the restocking to make anything worth it. And big shipping fees? Are you telling me you didn't have a clue to those fees to begin with? Again unfortunately that makes for your lose. Joe may not be the best source for you or lots of other people and Joe may also need to fix alot of issues with his business but, I have to say "MAKE A COMPLAINT STAND UP." But, my Lord do you have to sound like my kids when things aren't going the way you want them too? Do you live in the same world the rest of us do.. Been screwed? So have we all. Now you have said your peace and pushed the point - be a man (both of you) and learn from it, do what you got to do but, by God learn from it. Running a business take 1000,s of hours of research to cover your butt, and your $$$$ if you haven't done this X's over than you are just as responsible for being scammed as the person is that MIGHT have scammed you. I have seen other business's on this site that people have complaints about and me and many other's have dealt with them for years and never once had those problems. Or at least a problem that hasn't been resolved. But, again that has to do with research and just plain stubborness into the background of making a business run and make it. I hate to say this but, I have found many times over that if I research into some that complain about being scammed they to in there business ventures are scammers (PLEASE NOTE: This is not everyone that has been scammed but there are many out there.)

So, my suggestion to all of you in this tread - Original Joe -- Now you have stated your issue let it be. You said you don't care if it is resolved or not. LET IT GO.. Learn from it and grow.

Lee -- I have to say I have been scammed in the past and I will probably be scammed in the future if I don't do my research. But, GROW UP and realize that in this world nothing is FREE. And I know beyond a shadow of doubt that you wouldn't dare give 1,500.00 away free either!

Tom (I think it was) I have a respect for you for posting you statement. All situations go many ways. And it it just as much up to the buyer as it is the seller. I think that you are one man that will have a blessed success in the future.

And Joe Richey -- I do hope that you aren't a scammer and that you run your business with everyone's best intrest just as much as your own. My biggest advise to help you out is "Make that website easier to get around in" You are great at selling you products and ideas but, I can personally attest to the fact that me head was spinning 1/4th of the way through the site. Stand behind your products and do your best as a businessman.

And everyone the best thing to remember is "What Comes Around Goes Around" And by Goodness if you got something coming and it hasn't got to you, you better hope in a big way it doesn't all hit at once.

Disclaimer: I do not personaly know or am I related to any one in this thread. I do not work for in any way shape or form for anyone in this thread. All stated in this post is strictly my opinion and you can do what you like with it. I genuinely hope that everyone learns by any and all situations they experience. And are grown up enough to acknowledge so.

P.S. Remember if you are gonna be big enough to take something public and rant and rave and threaten. You should be big enough to state whom you are.

Thanks for reading my long post.

Well Joe, you sound so honest, why didn't you return my email requesting a refund since you didn't send me any code for the $1000 shopping spree and your $500 in free groceries would cost me $100 for coupons for items I don't use anyway.

I just posted my story so hopefully someone will learn. I have contacted my credit card company.

And Tom, if Joe is such a great guy (and you probably work for him) why hasn't he emailed me back offering me the refund, $500 in groceries with no $100 kicker and my $1000 shopping spree?

Come on guys, enough is enough. And Joe, I will post my email address if you would like once you offer to make good.

I tried to work with Joe when the problem first happened and all I got in return were rude, sarcastic comments that came days too late.

AUTHOR: Joe - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, June 30, 2005

Tom, if you notice in my original post, I tried to work with Joe when the problem first happened and all I got in return were rude, sarcastic comments that came days too late. The only reason he seems like a reasonable man right now is because this is a public forum. If you don't believe me, look at the number of other responses from other people (including the second posting of this thread from someone else).

I stated later on in the thread that I'm all set working with Joe and his company. I found another wholesaler and have no need to deal him any longer. The only point of my initial post was to warn others that his practices are deceptive and he's tough guy to deal with. I was fortunate enough that I was only shorted the shipment I ordered and it took several days for him to respond to what was supposed to be an overnight shipment. It took me days to track him down, finally respond to me by email (he wouldn't return a phone call/voice mail), and sarcastically tell me he wouldn't ship the order. I didn't lose money, but I had to quickly find someone else to fulfill the order. There's nothing Joe can do about that now, so what's the point of contacting him? He needs to help the people he actually duped out of money. I'm sure that's the only reason he is willing to work with me and not the hundreds of other complaints.

I think it's great that you are an advocate for consumers. Why don't you help the poor person that posted this thread: http://www.auctionhints.com/message/webbbs_config.pl?noframes;read=6281 (Copy and paste the URL into your web browser)? She's must worse off than me.

If you actually get anywhere with that, call him on fixing everyone else's problems on this web site.

i am confused ..It is very rare in the first place you can actually get the owner of the accused company to come on here and speak up

AUTHOR: Tom - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, June 30, 2005

My name is Tom and i am a consumer advocate. I was ripped off by a company a while back -and this site helped me get my money back. At least i knew i was not crazy -as many others had been ripped off by the same company.

I believe that we as americans should stand up against scam artists. This site was created for that very reason. I also believe that we should fight for what is right. I am always trying to help consumers as a small way to repay this site for helping me.

Now i dont know anything about Joe or swap and sell. However, regardless of the fact that you say you were ripped off - the owner of the company has called you on that very fact and asked -quite reasonably -for you to provide some basic specific details of your experience.

It saddens me that in spite of his ongoing request -the original author keeps belabouring the same point as vague accusations over and over again. This doesn not help the consumers cause -but in fact shows us that the owner is right and you are doing nothing but bad mouthing him and his company.

It is very rare in the first place you can actually get the owner of the accused company to come on here and speak up. But instead of letting him have it with the facts - you spin around and waste a golden opportunity to show us all he is a fraud.

So ante up and stand up to the owner here - because you have done nothing but cheapen this site to appear as a bunch of whiners who really werent ripped off.

Joe, if you perform a google search on Joe Richey, you find more web sites like this one "http://www.auctionhints.com/message/webbbs_config.pl?noframes;read=6281" that describe your deceptive practices. That's my point. You ruined a person's reputation on Ebay and it doesn't even seem to phase you. If this was one incident, I'd give you the benefit of the doubt in your rebuttals. But time after time you are accused of lying to people, changing the descriptions of your web site, and telling people one thing about the quality of the merchandise when it's something else. Both this rip-off site and the URL in this posting discuss how you promised gold chains and delivered cheap plating. They are too similar for everyone else to be wrong and you right.

You're clearly very good at marketing and promoting your company because, despite all this negative press, you have managed to stay in business and continue your deceptive ways.

Just like everyone else who post messages here and for the good people who maintain this web site, my mission is warn others about you and the way you do business. If you won't change your practices, I hope you get shut down soon.

Fix everyone's complaint, Joe - Now that you renamed it "swapsell" you got an extension of scamming people. Try cleaning up your act and become a reputable businessman.

AUTHOR: Joe - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, June 27, 2005

I'll tell you what, Joe, although I highly doubt you have less than 1% complaint just by looking at this web site, address the complaints of everyone else you ripped off. I already found a reputable wholesaler, so I'm done working with you. However, there are the people whom you owe a refund and are ignoring, people who got poor quality merchandise and won't refund without screwing them out of money for 'restocking' fees, and people who got scammed by that foolish catalog deal for $30.

My guess is that when your company was named "joe richey" it got shut down for deceptive practices. Now that you renamed it "swapsell" you got an extension of scamming people. Try cleaning up your act and become a reputable businessman. It could work wonders for your business. Take away those ridiculous restocking fees and per-item shipping charges and maybe you won't be so well-known as the biggest rip-off on the Internet.

As great as this rip-off report web site is, this is only one portal with your name plastered all over it. I'm sure there are many more. Fortunately, it pops up when your name or company is Googled so other people are warned about the real Joe Richey.

My suggestion, change your company name one more time (because you've already ruined this one too) and be honest and fair with your customers. There must be a decent person in there somewhere. Otherwise, get out of the business altogether.

My suggestion, change your company name one more time (because you've already ruined this one too) and be honest and fair with your customers. There must be a decent person in there somewhere. Otherwise, get out of the business altogether.

Fix everyone's complaint, Joe - Now that you renamed it "swapsell" you got an extension of scamming people. Try cleaning up your act and become a reputable businessman.

What is your area code and phone number and I can have our customer service team call you? What is your full name and order history? While no company is perfect, considering our order volume over the years we can live with a complaint volume of less then 1% although not acceptable by my standards as stated we will work to resolve any valid complaint. You have the information where to call us I hope. 503-844-0504 m-f 8 to 3 pm PST or leave your full details here we will call you :) Take care and have a nice weekend

SwapSell Trade- Are you Kidding Me?!

AUTHOR: Joe - (U.S.A.)

Have you seen the countless complaints on this web site about how much of a scumbag you are? Do you really think an absurd comment like "we are eager to work with you" will fix everything?

You know, I tried to work with you back when the problem happened and you either ignored me or were flat out told me to screw. You got some pair of balls to respond with such a comment, Joey...

This guy continues to SCAM innocent people

AUTHOR: James - (U.S.A.)

Everything you read about this guy, Joe Richey is true. He makes his living scamming innocent people and all his ads are full of lies. He changes prices and does not honor the prices he shows on his site, inflates shipping and when you contact him to try and resolve a dispute he is ignorant and tells you point blank he has no interest in resolving anything.

Everyone, please be sure to contact the Postal Inspectors office, attorney generals office and Federal Trade Commission. This is the only way this clown is going to get shut down and made to pay for his fraud and complete disregard to the law.
