Joe Sagona Joseph Sagona Rented us a house that was full of bats and stold $3000.00 in fees from us. New Fairfield, Connecticut

We rented a home from this horrible man in Venice Fl, in the Sawgrass Community in November of 2010. It was the begining of a NIGHTMARE. I found this house listed on the local Craigslist and the pictures looked very nice and it was a newer home in a gated golf community. We decided we would like to view the home and we contacted Joe Sagona who lives in New Fairfield Ct. so he has the current tenants show me the property. I we noticed the tenants had several small dogs and I seen the house needed a good cleaning but other then that it looked pretty nice.
To make a long story short we decided to take the home and MR. Sagona promises once we sent him rent + deposit he would make sure the house was ready for us to move into and his nearby friend Jim would give us the keys.
When then moved out of our current address and loaded our uhaul and when you arrived at our new address we found the house was in HORRIBLE condition. Dog urine all over the carpets and the tile was trashed. When I contacted Joe Sagona to let him know it was ready he told me I was making it up and the place was in fine condition.
The pool pump was burned out and the pool was green with over half the water missing. Mr. Sagona told us there was nothing wrong with the pool and I must have "broke it myself". Even after having an estiment and emailing it to him he still ingored the issue.
If these were the only problems with 767 Sawgrass Bridge Venice Fl I would have just covered those cost and moved on.
After a month we noticed alot bats flew around the front yard in the evenings and before day lite.
We called Mr. Sagona and he again was billegerant and told me I was looking for an accuse to not pay rent.
We hired two of the largest pest control companies in our area and they both found that there were thousands of bats in the attacks and the whole roof had to replaced to remove all the bat feces of wich is very toxic. Again I conacted Joe Sagona and he would not respond.
We are a young family with a 2 year old and my wife is pregnant and the fumes from the bat feces is not safe and bats themselves carry deseases. We decided at this point and according to Flortida law we do not have to pay the rent untill he fixed the problem and he immediatly filed eviction against us. We didnt want to fight with Joe Sagona we just wanted to move but I still had to go to court to not have a wrongful evection on our public record and credit reports.
The court hearing went very well untill Mr. Sagona TOLD THE JUDGE THAT I THREATED TO KILL HIM!! wow
Then he told the judge that I had told him that the Judge was a personal friend of mine! wow again.
Well the judge belived his stoery and ruled against us and GAVE HIM ANOTHER $2500.00.
Now my perfect credit is ruined and I had to give him another large check.
Joe Sagona is a terrible man and I am sure there are many others that have fell prey to him and I would love to help stop anyone from having the trouble we have had so feal free to contact me anytime.

So I went to that court website, all I found was a bunch of courtases against you and you lost each of them. So where's the one against this guy?

So the tyrant Joe Sagona rears his head. Joe Sagona's whole bad check story holds no water either. Joe cashed two checks dated for sept 25 on sept 19th, then told me he was sorry about that. After Joe Sagona commited fraud in court and still won, he then turned the 2 posted checks "of wich he cashed before the date" over to the prosicuting attorney. He is telling the truth about that, and it did upset me but the state quickly dropped any interest when they seen he cashed the checks before the date he agreed to. The good part of that was now I have an undeniable account of fraud of Joe Sagona as he filed a false report knowing both checks were post dated and no good when he recieved them he knowingly cashed them anyway.
As of late last week we have hired a very heplful Attorney Alexander Dennison from Sarasota to file a large claims civil suite on Joe Sagona of wich we will win as Joe has not a leg to stand on after filing a fraudulant report against me. Our attorney has also been in contact with Earl Moreland's state attorney office to seek Felony False report charges against Joe Sagona.
If your in question of any this you can view my large claims lawsuit proceedings against Joseph Sagona on this County website http://www.sarasotaclerk.com/. I think my attorney is about done with our complaint and the case should be active on or around May 16th. I will provide all the facts of this case to anyone and any time. If its true its not slander.

The few things that Tom Walker wrote that are true: he rented my house and that the judge found his claims to be baseless and signed an eviction order. I never received the rent owed. The security check he gave me was good, but all of his other checks were returned for insufficient funds, they all bounced. He lived in the house 3 months (Oct, Nov & Dec 2010) rent free. He left the house just prior to the sheriff coming to remove him from the house. A check of the Sarasota civil will show that Tom vacated his prior house under the same circumstances, an eviction order.
Tom is very skilled at changing facts, fabricating events and creating subterfuge to aid his case, dont be fooled. Toms passing of bad checks is being investigated at this time and that is the reason for this posting. His plan is to attack and discredit the victim. The only truth in Tom's story is that he did rent my house and the court ordered him to pay his rent ( which he has not ). He was in the house for 3 months and never paid his rent. Each of three checks he provided bounced. Eviction procedings were filed and he left the day before the sheriff was to remove him from the house in late Dec. 2010. A check of the Saratoga civil records will show that Tom had also been evicted from the house he rented prior to mine. Tom's criminal passing of bad checks is now under investigation by the sheriff's office and that is the reason for his filing this complaint. Tom is a skill con man, and and will quote Fl . state law to aid is position without any basis, for don't be fooled. Tom's claims about the condition of the house are all false.
