Found this crook on Craigslist advertising hard money loan/rehab. Met at his office in a real estate company he was renting space. It looked legit and signed papers which I gave him $795 due diligence fee to close within 45 days (money order was made payable to his name, Joe Starcher). After leaving messages for about 3 weeks with no responses, found out he moved his office downtown Chicago. I called his new number @ (312) 794-7746 and his secretary or office worker screens calls and never calls me back. After 3 months, sent complaint letter to Attorney General and working w/ my local attorney hoping I can get my money back, if I'm lucky or sue this crook, Joe Starcher, hoping to close his business and not steal from any unsuspecting victim(s) or deceive hard working, trusting individuals. You have been warned!! BEWARE!! JOE STARCHER AND HIS COMPANY IS A TOTAL RIP-OFF!!!!!!

Craig's List is not a good place to start to find a reputable business or person. Only I find that the same is true with banks, Wall Street, and corporations - they seem to be Hell Bent to scam the public whenever possible. Please consider filing a report with this government agency:
