John Collins Johnny C, Johnny "badcheck", Con Man Claiming to be "God's Man" Pleasantview, Tennessee

I was a friend to John Post aka Johnny Berrypicker in Humboldt County for about 3 years, and I recognize some of the other posters here. I can say with total confidence that nothing Johnny has ever said to me has been true, NOTHING, not ever, not the military career, not the illnesses, the undercover ops, the jet piloting, the books, the real estate, nothing. He has literally lied to us about matters as mundane as what he had for dinner. He is an unstoppable fountain of B.S. and his most destructive lies have been inexplicable, i.e. there was never any reason he needed to lie in the first place, but he does it just because. Johnny cannot stop himself from lying but he is not very good at it, he claimed his daughter died tragically but he told some of us it was cancer and some of us it was a car crash. Most of the time what he wants is to "borrow" money. There will be a comprehensive investigation into this disgusting individual this week at our local newspaper, www.arcataeye.com. Johnny is a life ruiner and a steaming pile of putrid crap who seems to cause pain wherever he turns. I want him out of my town and I pray for the next town he lands in.

While reading about John Collins, John Post, Johnny Berry Picker's 'friend' who apologetically explained his drunkenly, written mistake, hmmmm, sounds too familiar...
Setting: Humboldt County, California -  One night John made a drunken choice to get rid of all his boarders and filed an eviction order, he told one of his renters and friend. This 'renter' found the real eviction notice before John had rolled out of bed that morning, January 2013. Not only was John Post NOT the owner of the house as claimed, though collecting rent from 4-5 boarders. and not paid a dime to the property management co. since September 2012.
Same drunken story, different part of the US, new set of 'friends', still ripping off any chance he can conjure up. 
Look for future Ripoff Reports about Johnny Berry Picker, John Post, who can't keep his out-of-control lies straight.
Huh, Princess?!

The original report that was filed is 100% accurate.  The post stating to be the original author and apologizing for playing a prank and having drank too many Budweiser's the night before IS JOHN.  I too was conned out of tens of thousands of dollars from him, as was at least one other person that I know of.  I was wondering what came of him and I did a Google search for ["John Collins" conman] and up popped this report.  Why would I be doing a search for that if the reverend "Johnny C" was such a saint?

Federal Prison Time

What was not mentioned about John was that he has served Federal prison time for securities fraud involving another conman in Canada.  All of this was tied to Main Event Championship Wrestling.  John will of course not bring this glowing fact to light about his past and if you find out...will claim that he got dragged into something.  He owe's over $300,000 in federal restitution as a result of his felonious actions.  He later even conned the FBI by agreeing to wear a wire in prison to record conversations with another inmate who purportedly was planning to kill a federal judge.  They ran a segment on American Greed about the case and in the last ten minutes or so talk about John wearing the wire in exchange for getting out of prison early.  Its sad because John could probably get anyone to say anything he wanted to with that kind of motivation.

If you check the public records in Evansville, IN, Lawrenceville, IL, Vincennes, IL, and the surrounding areas, you will see that he has been taken to court on several occasions as a result of his crap.  He supposedly conned a travel agency out of over $50,000 during his one year wrestling endeavor.  You can also find his indictment by the US Attorney Generals Office in the public record.

Common Scams

John got a good education in how to con people while in prison.  He likes to sell you the intangible.  Rights to an invention, rights to some other intellectual property, a piece of some up and coming business, rights to a secret "only he knows".  Its always some delusion of grandeur.  He has a lot of stories and bit and pieces of those stories are verifiable.  He'll use those small pieces to purport that the entire story is true. 

Millionaire Story

John likes to talk about how he is millionaire many times over.  HE DOESN'T HAVE A DIME.  IF HE DOES HAVE A DIME ITS ONLY BECAUSE HE JUST STOLE IF FROM SOMEONE ELSE.  He will say that money is just stuck in some overseas bank and he doesn't have complete access to it.  He may say his millions came from selling his share of Main Event Championship Wrestling.  Total BS...It went belly up!!!!!  It is also not the same Main Event that booked the huge boxing matches back in the day.  He likes to confuse the two to gain peoples confidence.

I honestly could go on and on about everything I dug up after he took my money, cancelled his phone service, and skipped town.

Go ahead John...post another BS retraction!  I'll follow up with hyperlinks to every possible public record, MECW article, federal government hearing I can find.   Just do us all a favor and get a job!

I'm writing a second rebuttal to the original report I made about John Collins. I feel ashamed and embarassed and utterly disgusted with myself for letting alcohol enable me to do something so stupid.  I am the original author and must make that clear! Anyone knowing John as well as I do knows his sarcastic sense of humor. While he did find this funny, knowing that I would never intentionally hurt him, it is no longer funny the report can't be removed.

I have been close friends with John for many years and I can't apologize enough for my actions. I feel as low as a snake knowing that this may cause harm to John and his great family.

I must repeat I AM THE AUTHOR of the original report and it was only meant as a joke. The joke could be damaging to John and his family's reputation, THIS WAS NEVER INTENDING TO BE ANYTHING MORE THAN A JOKE AND THEN DELETED!

John knows my motive was never to cause harm to him or his great family, only to get a laugh with a good friend, then delete it.  The love he has for his family is an inspiration. I feel blessed and fortunate to not only have John as a friend but have his forgiveness for my poor judgement.  Anyone with a true friend would understand my gratitude to John.

I previously reported John Collins to be a fraud and "con man" on June 20. These accusations are 100% false. I'm writing a retraction to apologize to not only John, but to his family as well. This report was written after a night of drinking more budwiesers than a man should have. My intentions were to send the link to John, get a laugh, then take it down. I've known John Collins and his incredible family for many years. Knowing John the way I do, I knew he would get a good laugh as long as the report could be deleted. John is an honest, reliable man that has always been there for his friends and family when they need him. I profoundley apologize to John Collins and his family. The reported posted was unwarranted and meant to be a joke with an old friend. It was never meant to be kept permanent posted. It was never intended to damage and tarnish John's reputation. He is a good family man with a witty sense of humor.
