Jorge Rivera was is the son of Francis Perez, a well known developer in Costa Rica. Jorge Rivera was developing a project in Guanacaste Costa Rica called Bella Collina. It was a beatiful concept and I was so attracted to the project and his background that I purchased 3 units and put over $470K in deposits down. That was in 2007.
There were a total of about 30 purchasers in the same situation who had all put down deposits with Jorge Rivera.
Then came the financial crisis and all of the investors were led to believe by Jorge and his uncle Francis that a trust would be created with all of the investors incorporated into the trust for protection. This was just a ploy to pull the land out of the corporation and into Francis's name avoiding legal action from the investors and purchaers. This was in 2009. We have found out that Jorge has taken the money from the investors in one project and put it into another project of his in San Jose, called Bosque Escondido. [continued below]....
To this day his has not returned anyone's calls, emails, or meeting requests. His uncle has also been arrested in the past for real estate involvements and fraudulent behavior.
Jorge is a dilusional human being and moreso a coward and a lot of people are after him for thier money. He has stolen millions. Buyer/Investor beware. Please add to this post if Jorge and his Uncle have done the same to you.
