This company was call to replace a simple part and do a freon charge. The system was working fine it was a maintenance call. When they left the system worked for two days and shut down. I called them back. They insisted on charging another service charge ($75). When they arrived they said they needed to do a diagnostic ($150) which told them I needed to replace condenser. After they replaced that ($1500 for which they required a cash payment when they arrived to install) They told me when they opened the unit up I now needed a new coil ($550) They refused to give me a written estimate and said if they left they would have to charge another $75 service charge. They happened to have the part in the truck (which btw was completely unmarked) I had them change that part and they left with the system working OK...three days later it shut down again. This time I called 5-6 times and left messages with no answer. I had another company come in...they took one look and said they had given me a defective/used part and had done a totally unprofessional job in the install. I repeatedly called the company and received no answer. I was out 3000- I later found out there is No Joseph Maginn, he is retired. The phones are answered by his wife, the technician is his son and seems to be in charge although they hide that information. They refused to come back to my home unless I gave them a $500 cash deposit when they arrived. I guess they were afraid I wouldn't pay them for the sertvice call to fix a problem they created. I reported them to the BBB and to the Penn AGs office but got no response to that either. This company maintains at least 50-60 phone numbers throughout NJ and PA...runs a shoody, fly by night operation...and I have since found out their MO is to rip people off for as much as possible and run to the bank with the money. BEWARE as this company is a complete and total sham...THEY WILL STEAL your money...you might as well call a band of gypsies. Dishonest, no integrity, unprofessional, liars!!!
