Medical records, pharmacy records, police records, and school records were given to Judge Charles McGee of Washoe County District Court, Family Division, documenting that the mother of our grandchildren had filled prescription drugs paid by Medicaid, and had given us "old" prescription drugs to give to our two grandchildren.

Also, we provided a Reno Police Report showing that the mother had two months of her own and our two grandchildren's prescription drugs in her possession. She admitted to the Reno Police that she was to be drug tested by a Washoe County Child Protective Worker and had been using Marijuana recently.

The school records showed that our two grandchildren came to school with their faces dirty, teeth unbrushed, tired and drugged out, clothes dirty.

The mother and father (our son) have an extensive history of alcohol, prescription, and illegal drug use, mostly Marijuana and Methamphetamines.

At one point, the mother had a boyfriend living with her who picked up and threatened to throw our grandson out of his window after he accidently threw a shoe and broke his bedroom window.

This mother left our grandson with two teenagers at a park. The teenagers threw our grandson on the ground and broke his arm. The teenagers had a history of violence in the past.

Both of our grandchildren were given to us for ten days when the mother admitted to Judge Charles McGee that she had been using Marijuana. We suspect she also was using Methamphetamines at the time.

He ordered her to be drug tested and enroll in a drug rehabilitation program. Instead, she just had her psychiatrist fax a letter to Judge Charles McGee, stating that she was a fit mother. She never got drug tested or enrolled into a drug rehabilitation program. Judge Charles McGee then ordered for us to return both of our grandchildren to her.

At one point, both of our grandchildren were placed in foster care in Washoe County for three months.

This mother lied to the Washoe County Courts, stating there were no immediate relatives living in Nevada. The children's father was living in Reno. The children's three uncles and us the paternal grandparents were living in Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada at the time. The mother's mother and uncle were living in Sparks and Reno, Nevada at the time.

During this time, this mother continued to collect the children's and her Social Security SSI checks, Nevada State Welfare Checks, Child Support from our son, food stamps, medicaid, etc.

Our son just recently discovered the reason for his child support arreages never going down.

The mother has been collecting child support, SSI checks for her and our two grandchildren, Nevada State Welfare, Food Stamps, Medicaid, taking them to School Bell for free clothes, etc. etc. etc.

Our son's Federal Tax Refund Check gets taken every year by Child Support.

This mother even collected all of the above for three years while our son lived with her and his two children, helping support her and the two children.

All of this information was reported to the Reno Police Department, Nevada State Welfare, U.S. Social Security Department in Reno, to Judge Charles McGee, and to Washoe County Child Protective Services, and to the various teachers that our two grandchildren had.

At one point, Judge Charles McGee allowed a Temporary Restraining Order filed against my son to also be held against my husband and I even though we never were personally served or noticed.

We were instructed to get our grandparent visitation rights back we had to file for our Grandparent Vistation Rights in the Divorce Decree Case. No reason was given why we "lost" our grandparent visitation rights in this order.

We had Grandparent Visistation Rights since our son filed for divorce from his wife in 2000 in Washoe County Family Court.

We have via e-mail and phone calls found that other families have had the same experiences with Judge Charles McGee and Washoe County and Clark County Family Courts.

We still worry and pray daily about the welfare and safety of our two grandchildren living with their mother. To our knowledge she never has enrolled in any kind of drug rehabilitation program.
