Having assigned my judgment and wired his $500 fee, Mr Obten became increasing difficult to contact. In January this year I managed to catch him on the phone but since then he has disappeared off the face of the earth , last I saw he was trying to sell the Judgment Collection Co on Ebay !
Despite endless attempts to contact this man by email and telephone he has just disappeared , along with my $500 and my judgment.
Avoid like the plague , clearly an outright scam.

Search TipsThere is no excuse for refusing direct phone calls to a cell number that was working, emails went unanswered , I even sent a recorded mail to the owners home address without response.
There is no need to return my judgment because you never bothered to get it assigned, just took my money and disappeared.
If you are also returning the money , post a note on here and I will be glad to contact you.......

Response to: Judgment Collection Company - Judgment Holders Beware
AUTHOR: JCC LLC - ()
SUBMITTED: Monday, March 18, 2013
All of the judgments held by the company were assigned and the assignments included the right of assignment or sale. The company did attempt to place the judgments with another judgment collection agency; however, a suitable match was never found. At that point the company was unable to meet its obligations and sustain operations. Therefore, it was forced to shut down.
If it was difficult to get through to the company, it was not out of any attempt at evasion. It was simply a factor of being unable to sustain ongoing operations. As part of the process of winding down, the company has been returning judgments, along with a Termination of the Assignment to JCC, LLC. The termination of assignment restores all rights to the original judgment holder. This is an ongoing process and has been slowed by the fact much of the contact information provided by the original judgment holders is no longer current.
Unfortunately, the poster of this report did not provide any contact information. Anyone who assigned a judgment to the Judgment Collection Company and has not received a Termination of Assignment may request one by sending a request to judgco@gmail.com and following the instructions below.
Please include the following information (failure to do so may delay or impede the
process):

- The state, county, and court that issued the judgment (e.g. New York State Supreme Court, Nassau County)
