6/28/08 Bought a new computer with pre-installed software for Juno/NetZero and other online services. I already had internet service with peoplepc but could not connect because the new computer used Microsoft Vista; my peoplepc software was not compatible. Just so happened that peoplepc had long wait times so I called Juno instead because they had half off for 3 months. I only kept the service for 17 days, never actually logged in, used email or went to the website.

7/17/08 I called to cancel service. Was told by Roger I would be charged a $25 cancellation fee, but it would be waived if I kept the service just one more month. I agreed to the extra month but I was very clear that I wanted to cancel.

I was charged the half price in August, but nothing in September in which I assumed my acct had been cancelled as requested.

10/3/08 I was completely taken by surprise to see a full charge for service in October. I immediately went online to see if I could log in to email; the website said my login didn't exist which means I never had service. I called Juno again and Ron said they kept charging me because I didn't cancel service, but yet they noted in my acct that I'd called in July to cancel. I explained that I couldn't log in so they were charging me for services I never actually received and obviously I didn't want the service or I would not have taken the time to call. Ron assured me that my money would be refunded immediately.

10/07/08 still no refund. Diana said a refund was issued 10/3/08 but that I would not actually get my money back for 1-2 billing cycles. Took them minutes to charge me for non-services but it takes 3 months for me to get my money back??? I asked for a confirmation to be emailed to my peoplepc address but Diana said they could only send to the Juno address. So stupid! The acct was closed so how could I have checked for emails??!?!

1/22/09 used the UOL "Contact Us" page to get someone to respond to my issue.

1/23/09 still no refund. Instead I have been getting a barrage of ads by phone, email and postal mail to come back to Juno. So instead of fixing my issue, they choose to add me to their mailing lists??? This is their idea of a resolution?? Also get an email from juno at my peoplepc email address (remember they couldn't contact me that way before) telling me not to send requests to that website because it was for help items only. Excuse me, what good is a "Contact Us" page if they are going to complain if you contact them. This company is totally useless. CONSUMER BEWARE!
