Just In Time Movers, Just In Time Moving And Storage Grossly inflated estimation of short distance furniture only... no packig required by company move Ripoff Kenilworth New Jersey

I was contacted by Just in Time Moving Company (I have no idea where they got my phone number....they claimed not to know either!) for a free estimate for moving costs. Upon arrival, their representative had me name each individual item to be moved. They were not moving anything except individual pieces of furniture, and they would have had no packing or transporting of boxes to do. All that would have been done prior to their arrival. I received in the mail later that week an estimate for $1641.62. Each item to be moved was individually listed with the cost to move said item next to it. I have two identical book shelves in my house; one in the living room and one in my daughter's room. The quoted price to move the one in the living room was $20.00 and the quoted price to move the one in my daughter's room was $8.00!

Another company came today to give me an estimate. Their quoted price (for the exact same services) was between $675.00 and $825.00 depending on how many hours the move took. This is almost a thousand dollar difference to do the exact same job.
