Justin Newton desired a vehicle and wanted to purchase it...the seller gave him the option to state his own payment dates, and ammounts so as to not create a crimp in his budget. first of all the seller was not a car dealer, did not charge interest, and was doing the sale at a reduced rate, to ease their budget. The first payment was the ONLY one to be on time and for the correct ammount (the only stipulation the seller had was "DON'T BE LATE" with a payment), then came denial of missed payment(s), partial payments, and this was after he was sent away with the truck, extra parts, even a stereo that was pulled from a drawer in the shop, brand new, installed prior to departure, so the ride wouldn't be so quiet...and paying for fuel to bring him over 350 miles to the sales location without a dime in reimbursement.
Phone calls early on were made to find out what the reason for the payment snaffu was, and resistance was met to the point that e-mails were only left...those soon quit with comments like "I nor Justin will call you, we just will not", then I was called a bully for simply asking where my money was, How absurd. Then arrogance took over with the comments like "We have the title, what are you going to do other than small claims?"
Small claims it was, judgement levied, and now comes the rest.
These people after knowing court proceedings were happening, put the truck on Craigslist with the biggest line of bullshit one could immagine, including the line about "free and clear title, no liens", and boy is some unlucky purchaser going to be pissed off when they can't transfer title at DMV.
So, if you're in the Yakima / Selah Washington area and decide to conduct financial dealings, or buy a 4Runner, just don't do it with this guy.
