My husband and I were vacationing in Key West and were steered to Key West Vacation Club by a person in a city run tourist office(see below for location and possible name). For listening to their presentation we got a number of things free to do in Key West.

We agreed and met with Key West Vacation Club employees on Feb. 15/09 at 11:00. They had an impressive power point presentation and a "Hot Deals" board where the deals were supposed to be available any membership you took. We opted to go with the Silver Charter Membership, an unlimited Cruise Rewards, unlimited Condo Rewards and certain Hotel Rewards. In addition, they offered to give our three daughters the same package. We were told that the condo places would range between $299 and $799 per week. A fee of $199 each year would be required as well to keep us registered

We were shown their web site, www.majesticworldadventures.com and we were shown all of the places from which we could choose. We were given temporary certificates for ourselves and our daughters and told how to access the web site. Detailed packages were to follow as they were 'out of them at the moment'. We signed up for $5000 US which we had to pay through Paypal. We had second thoughts so next day we went back but they convinced us it was a good deal. So we went on our way.

Once we were home we registered on the web site and could get all sorts of info about all sorts of places. We phoned Lisa Hancox, our agent, about our packages and she said they were coming. We had a couple of email correspondences. As of about the beginning of April, we have been unable to contact anyone. Today, I phoned the office number and it is disconnected. The 1-888 number we have on the web site to contact is also disconnected. I phoned the Chamber of Commerce in Key West and Key West Vacation Club is still listed as a member. I phoned the city of Key West to check on their license and it has been cancelled.

I am afraid that we have been really ignorant in going ahead with this and abetting this outfit's criminal and fraudulent activity. We will be following up in any manner we can, but, please, be forewarned and do not fall for any scheme like this. Do your homework! We knew better and still, we did it anyway!!!

Is there anyone else out there that has been scammed by this outfit? Some names of interest:
Lisa Hancox Cell (305)797-6391
Louis ? Said he was from Puerto Rico
Tourist Welcome Centre - very hyperactive fellow, possibly named Phil - who suggested we go to the Vacation Club - near the Comfort Inn, north part of Key West, just a little before the road that goes north out of the Keys.
