Located in a used double wide trailer behind slum lord house trailers.
Contracts stating Kaedon Steinert INC., owns the trucks when they are owned by a leasing company.
Example of truck pymts., driver pays $3200 a month and leasing company charges him $1575.
Deducts monies that should be held in escrow. But he says it is his money.
Pays you settlements UPON HIS APPROVAL, when HE wants you to have money. Non-complying.
Repairs to equipment is his decision as to what can be done. But you pay out the nose for all items.
You have no idea what he is charging until you get your settlement sheet. You don't sign any work orders stating you are aware of charges.
Controls when and where you fuel/load.
Will allow you $25.00 a day for food if he is in a good mood. Illegally charges you $40-100 for advances.
We were with them for 3 yrs 11 mo's. Contracts on 2 trucks. We were retained as contractors, but treated like employees.
We had no free will. We have since discovered he (master) was charged and fined in 1998 for treating drivers like (servents).
When my husband,myself and 2 other drivers, confronted them about their non-complying business practices/fraudulant contracts and money skimming.
We were FIRED. (remember we are contractors) Kaedon Steinert took our trucks from us and quickly traded them in on other trucks.
He puts false statements on DAC'S.
OOIDA has a drawer full of complaints.
Drivers have lost everything they owned, as well as broken up marriages, because of their non-settlements,keeping drivers out for months at a time and forced(cheap)loads.
You might ask then why did you or they stay? The equipment was above the rest. We came here to buy trucks. We were fulfilling our end of contracts.
Worked 3 yrs 11 mos with no time off, to pay for these trucks.
Hurricane makes it impossible for you to do so.
Only 1 person has ever paid for a truck and it was an older ragged out model. The driver starved to keep it.
2 other drivers are nearing the end of their (bogus) contracts. Both trucks are old and ragged out. They too are going without decent settlements.
So much to say about this "corporation". I will respond to all.
