I purchsed a Kahr CW9 9mm at a gunshow in Phoenix az a month ago. I just recently decided to use it as my conceled caryy weapon and found it has a design faul.
You are not able to rack the slide to chamber the first round. Infact Kahr Customer service told me that you have to lock the slide back and put the first round by hand in the chamber.
Kahar customer service stated that due the weapon's slender size and it uses a feeding ramp. you are not able to rack the side to chamber the frist roud, which force you to keep the weapon loaded. Also raises concern of firesafety and storage if used as a home defence weaopn
The question I have is if this a problem why can't there designer and engineers fix this problem to make sure they are selling a qauilty firearm
It must be that kahr real dose not care about the quailty and reliabilty of the firearms thay manufacturer
It is not just me that has concern about the weapon that kahr arms sells. A local pawn shop by me refused to take the cw 9 for trade in or pawn. they said that they stop selling them all together because they where too much trouble and unreliable
