I have attended Kaplan for one semester and was chosen for verification. They did not respond to me in a timely manner after saying it was only going to be two weeks. The financial aide manager L. Chica never called or emailed me back. When I expressed my unhappiness with the school and the way they handled things Kelly Hannigan of financial aide locked me out of my course program for no reason and I could not log in to do my work.
When I called to see why I was locked out, the student advisor said that sometimes they do that when you say you're going to transfer. I told them one thing has nothing to do with the other, and that I was going to finish my semester regardless of what they were doing to me on the financial aide end.
I also told them that it costs too much to be locked out of your program of study at any time. They said my refund was being held up at the home office, but they would not give me the number to the home office and they wouldn't check on it either, and I still haven't received my refunds yet and it's almost February. I think they are trying to force me to register again by holding my refunds.

Keep calling back until someone picks up

Not responding to you is their way of slowing your withdrawl process so they can get more money from your loans. Call them so many times until they give up and process your withdrawl. Also start a better business bureau complaint against them. Contact your local attorney generals office about them and contact a consumer advocate if you can find one affliated with a news station all the better.
