I am a single mom who wanted to positive male role model in my sons life. I found a karate instructor I loved we did a month, then a year contract, then leadership and 3 a year contract. I wanted to pay for everything at one time since I was on tight budge and did not want any suprises.I ask is this "everything" yes this is everything.Then they say oh but there is belt test fees every time he test.They are $65.00 to 150. dallor which in brown and red you do not get a new belt just tape on it.Belt test goes up each belt higher. Then oh you need more weapons.They need 2 but sale you 1 of each.They are not cheap!Then you need new boards to break at $80.00 each as they advance.Then just when you think it can't cost anymore. You have every piece of gear and every weapon and you are also most to black belt... They said you need all new black gear. They sold you all red, a new florida patch, a new $250.00 uniform. $150.to black belt test plus $125.00 for belt.Or you do not become a black belt. I did all this dispite the ectreme effect on our budget and I have never complianed dispite the fact this is just wrong! The problem is its 90 degrees in building due to air not having enough btu's to cool in the summer, with a lot of kids in flordia. I have photos of thier air unit. After asking and asking and asking when it would be fixed.Its hot, smelly, and not safe. I'm told its fixed every time I call that people are there right now working on it over and over and I go in and its 90 again. This is before children put on gear or fight.I post a photo on facebook of air unit saying 90 degrees and get a call telling me 7 weeks before my son black belt test that we are kicked out and not to return to building because I am disruptive??? They have my money and My child is 7 weeks from black belt I have 2 sets of gear both red and black a $250. uniform all fee to test paid and because I think air is a health issue my son is not allowed in school? Run as fast as you can. I have never complianed,I am not a trouble maker, just a single mom struggling and in debt to help my son. I've sat in this place every day for almost 2 years been to every birthday party here and supported every event but really is asking for air reason to rip us off and kick a little boy out right befor black belt? They call them selves leaders and role models!
