Karla Shippey Attorney Home Loan Modification Internet

On April 25, 2009, I retained the law offices of Karla Shippey to work on my behalf to obtain a lower mortgage payment on my home loan.  I paid an upfront fee of $,2800.   On August 24, 2009 I was informed by the people working for her that Bank of America had approved my loan modification.  After I returned the necessary documents well within the time allotted by the Bank, I began receiving collection calls and default letters.  I informed the Bank that they had approved my modification.  Time and time again I was told by the Bank that my file had not yet been updated and to continue to make the lower modified payments.

On May 13, 2010, I responded to yet another default notice from the Bank and was told that the modification had been denied.  That the Bank informed the law office of this denial on August 26, 2009!!!

Now I am in serious danger of losing my home.  I was lied to.  I phoned Ms. Shippey on May 17, 2010, and explained the situation and asked for the return of my $2,800.  She replied that she had to research my file and would get back to me...she did not.  Again, I was lied to, and absolutely nothing was done on my behalf.  The phone number of the people I dealt with in Corona, CA is now disconnected.
