My fiance and I picked out our rings from Kay jewelers hoping for something of quality as they are a large chain. After wearing my engagment ring for 2 weeks I stopped by the store for a courtesy cleaning as I was at the mall already. I was told i had a loose stone and they had to send it away for tightening. I gave the sale lady my ring and waited for their call. 2 weeks later I picked it up only to wear it one day and a diamond fell out! I went back tom the store were they told me it would take a month to replace. At this point I was questioning the quality when the sales lady said the stones on their rings are set by machine. This blew me away as we had picked out a 4500.00, 1 and a half carat diamond ring. Set by machine? Some 3 and a half weeks later I received the call that my ring was ready so we went back to the mall to pick up the repaired ring to find the stones set crooked and gouges in the gold setting. They agreed to order a new ring for me but it would take 50 days to get. Im still waiting on the new ring and as I sit here writing this 2 prongs have broken off the center stone or the original ring.
